Description

The company needs an MBSE systems analyst for its communications work, centered on SysML modeling in tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.

The role applies MBSE methods to support data-driven decisions on warfighting capabilities, mainly tactical communication systems, alongside cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain SysML models in Cameo Systems Modeler that capture requirements, use cases and system architectures.
  • Support mission engineering and system function analysis, and write functional and performance requirements for C5 systems integration.
  • Help verify and validate MBSE models while working with both technical analysts and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and analyze models to derive mission threads and use cases that feed system-level verification planning.
  • Keep architecture models, IC data compliance and program requirements traceable to one another.
  • Use your knowledge of C5 and tactical communication systems to draw SysML diagrams showing data flows between system components.
  • Demonstrate and use modeling tools to help customers with technical requirements and mission planning.
  • Explain complex modeling concepts to audiences ranging from technical teams to laypeople.

Requirements

  • Required: active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Required: bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, systems engineering, mathematics, or a closely related technical field.
  • Required: 5+ years of experience analyzing, developing, evaluating, integrating or testing DoD systems.

  • Required: hands-on use of MBSE software such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw or Rhapsody.
  • Required: experience with C5 systems (command, control, communications, computers and combat systems).
  • Required: proven ability to carry out model verification and validation.
  • Required: strong verbal and written communication, able to reach both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Required: good interpersonal skills for working with program staff, government client representatives and internal functional leads.
  • Required: a collaborative attitude that welcomes reaching out and partnering with others.
  • Required: ability to juggle several projects and requirements at once in a varied, changing setting with short deadlines.
  • Desired: experience with tactical communication systems from an engineering or operational use perspective.
  • Desired: electrical engineering education or a closely related discipline.
  • Desired: understanding of telecommunications and data networking protocols and architectures.
  • Desired: analytic experience in the Intelligence Community.
  • Desired: systems engineering experience within the DoD.
