The company builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software and space-based interceptors for the U.S. and its Allies, helping them hold space and counter threats there.
This role supports space and missile defense programs as the technical subject matter expert for Cameo-based MBSE model development and SysML practice.
You will help grow the digital thread architecture and how the ecosystem runs, and you will take part in systems engineering work that follows DoD and Department of War policy and industry standards.
You will build and manage models created in-house, evaluate the work of subcontractors, and bring in models from partners and the U.S. Government.
You will report to the Digital Thread Architect and Director of Digital Engineering.
Responsibilities
Act as the Cameo MBSE subject matter expert, providing technical leadership, mentoring and governance for SysML system models.
Develop, maintain and integrate MBSE artifacts for space systems, spacecraft, satellites and missile defense weapon systems.
Work with the Systems Engineering team on requirements analysis and traceability, functional and logical architecture, interface definition and decomposition, system of systems support, model integration, and verification and validation modeling.
Apply and tailor MBSE practice to DoDI 5000.97, DoDI 5000.88, DoD Digital Engineering and Systems Engineering guidance, industry standards, recommended practices and internal engineering requirements.
Use Cameo to build and manage an authoritative model of requirements, architecture, behavior, interfaces and verification, supporting traceability, trade studies and lifecycle decisions for complex systems.
Help connect MBSE models to PLM and data tools, including Teamcenter, Jama, NX CAD and other systems, so lifecycle data stays continuous.
Help develop, refine and roll out systems engineering processes and MBSE workflows across programs.
Work in Agile teams to support incremental delivery and continuous integration of system models.
Support classified programs, following security requirements and configuration management practice.
Contribute to proposals, technical reviews and customer engagements on MBSE, Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering.
Help build and sustain Digital Engineering and Digital Thread concepts across all lifecycle phases.
Carry out other MBSE and Systems Engineering tasks as needed.
