Marketing Operations Manager

Description

The company builds spend management software that makes money handling simple for finance teams and employees. It has run for 10 years, serves more than 40,000 customers, and employs 850+ people from over 100 nationalities.

The company is at a turning point and is moving into Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts. The team is driven, progressive and kind, and works on the future of business spending.

This Marketing Operations Manager role sits in the Marketing Operations and RevOps team. You will help build the operational setup for the move upmarket and for scaling the spend platform across growth companies in Europe. The focus areas are account-based go-to-market systems, AI across workflows, and systems design.

You will report to the Associate Director, Marketing Operations. Day to day you will work with Marketing Operations, RevOps and Sales Ops, and with Data, BAT (Business Automation & Tools), CX Ops and Engineering, to keep one consistent view of each account across systems.

In your first 6 months you will lead the launch of the account segmentation model, which will drive SDR assignments and Mid-Market and Enterprise routing. You will also work with Data and Marketing Ops to clean up attribution, reporting and lifecycle data so performance metrics can be fully trusted.

Over time you will build skills in AI enablement, enterprise GTM systems and RevOps alignment. Paths include larger projects, leadership, or deeper expertise in advanced RevOps and enterprise go-to-market.

Interview process: a 30-minute intro call with the Talent Partner; a 45-minute call with the hiring manager; a take-home test followed by a 60-minute team interview where you present your work; and a final interview with a senior leader.

Application tips: every application is read by a person, so write specific details of real impact from your own experience. Structure achievements as the result, how it was measured, and what you did, a method credited to Laszlo Bock (around 2014). Include links to former employers' websites. Answer the application questions carefully, and explain how your background fits this role.

Responsibilities

  • Shape marketing operations frameworks by continuing to improve campaign workflows, request intake, approvals, team governance, MQL to MQA routing logic, and SDR/BDR handoffs.
  • Own account intelligence and the reporting rhythm: design Mid-Market and Enterprise account scoring, keep executive dashboards current, bring intent, firmographic and behavioral signals into segmentation, and manage account assignment logic.
  • Drive AI use across Marketing Ops by turning AI capabilities into working processes, governance and enablement that speed up delivery and scale the team's output.
  • Keep tooling healthy: manage HubSpot workflows, automations and integrations, and work with BAT and Engineering on tech stack builds, QA standards and enterprise tooling needs.
  • Build team capability by creating shared standards, QA checklists, repeatable guides, templates and onboarding material for Marketing and Marketing Ops, so the baseline keeps rising.

Requirements

  • Solid HubSpot skills: designing workflows, routing logic and automation, understanding its limits, and knowing when to build outside the platform.
  • A track record of building ABM operating processes, MQL to MQA scoring rules, multi-stakeholder buying committee motions, and AI or automation adoption that lasts.
  • Ability to work with Sales Ops on account strategy, territory strategy, handoff logic and rep productivity, explaining things without jargon.
  • Careful documentation habits: auditable specs, data quality validation, and root-cause diagnosis of data flows alongside Data and BAT teams.
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution modeling, lifecycle marketing operations (nurture flows, recycling, engagement scoring), and ABM platforms or account intelligence tools.
  • Background in helping a company move upmarket into Mid-Market and Enterprise, and in building scalable, long-term GTM operations.
  • You are likely a good fit if you think in systems, design sustainable governance and frameworks rather than quick fixes, enjoy cross-functional work that removes friction in GTM processes, and enjoy driving practical AI adoption and upskilling people through documentation and templates.
  • You are likely not a fit if you prefer established, rigid systems to building new account-based infrastructure in ambiguous settings, if you see marketing operations as only working inbound lead lists without account context or buying committees, or if you rely on tribal knowledge instead of clear, auditable documentation and QA.
