Description

The company builds stress application suites that validate GPU products at the system level, covering everything from large GPUs to very small SoCs.

The team works with architecture, ASIC, silicon characterization and system design groups to design test methods that push each hardware component close to failure.

The team is a central group within the company and works with operations teams to balance product quality, test yield and manufacturing throughput.

You will lead a team of about 10 software engineers building these GPU stress applications. The role directly supports the company's gross margin.

Responsibilities

  • Run several projects at once by setting priorities and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Grow future technical leads within the team and recruit new engineers.
  • Apply agent-based approaches to the software development lifecycle for hardware bring-ups.
  • Look for ways to improve product quality and production efficiency, and act on them.
  • Work across functions to find the root cause of critical issues and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Build long-term strategies that prepare the team for new challenges and deliver work at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of system software experience, including large codebases and the driver stack, with a solid grasp of software development principles.
  • 3+ years of managing a team.
  • Good programming skills in C and C++.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, kernel drivers and device programming.
  • Experience driving feature development, cross-functional alignment and debugging.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of memory, graphics, compute, high-speed interfaces, power management, and GPU and system-level performance.
  • Nice to have: prior management and project management experience.
  • Nice to have: prior experience moving traditional software development workflows to agent-driven workflows.

Conditions

Base salary depends on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 2, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 3.
