Description

The company is preparing power for venues at the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. This role covers one venue or a set of venues, from electrical overlay design through installation and day-to-day operation.

You will lead a group of project managers and work with engineering teams, utility providers, contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to make sure each venue has dependable power, delivered on schedule and within budget, from test events through the Games.

The company does not offer relocation assistance for any position. Candidates based outside the Los Angeles area are welcome to apply if they can work on-site in LA.

Responsibilities

  • Own energy delivery at your assigned Games venues across design, installation, and operations, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Set priorities for a team of project managers and oversee their venue work.
  • Lead the electrical overlay design process and run cross-functional meetings with engineering, design, and power delivery teams.
  • Track deliverable status and report on issues, dashboards, meeting minutes, and change orders so leadership stays informed.
  • Spot delivery risks early and put mitigation plans in place with contractors, utility providers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and partner teams.

Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in construction or energy project management, including complex electrical projects spanning planning, design, and implementation.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, or a closely related field, or have 5 years of equivalent experience in energy project management.
  • Have direct experience leading a team of project managers and working with senior executives across several functions.
  • Have strong experience with Smartsheet and with Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable reporting and project management tool.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint for documentation, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Valued: PMP or an equivalent project management certification.
  • Valued: experience with temporary power systems and event overlay design.
  • Valued: power delivery experience for large-scale events, stadiums, or temporary venues.
  • Valued: design review and permitting experience with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
  • Valued: experience coordinating with utility providers on capital improvement projects.

Conditions

The annual base salary range is $88,000 to $115,000. This is the range the company reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation. Final pay depends on individual qualifications, experience, and other reasonable criteria consistent with business needs and applicable law.

The role is based on-site in the Downtown Los Angeles office.

Most of the work is office-based, with long periods at a computer, phone, and other office equipment, in an open floorplan.

Hours can vary and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.

You may be asked to take on other duties. The role will change over time and may include operational work during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Travel is expected as needed to visit stakeholder offices, government agencies, and Games venues and facilities.

You must be able to enter active construction sites and venues under development while wearing required personal protective equipment.

Equal opportunity: the company values talent from all geographic backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Direct ownership of the power that keeps Games venues running reliably.
  • Leading a team of project managers across high-profile venues.
  • Working closely with utilities, government agencies, and venue partners.
  • Joining a collaborative team that values practical, hands-on delivery under real pressure.
  • Seeing your planning support competition, broadcast, and operations at each venue you own, for athletes, fans, and viewers during the Games.
