Machine Learning Engineer Intern

You will work in a team with a mentor who helps you drive your project and keeps the design and code to good practice. You can ask questions and join every knowledge sharing session and workshop.

Code you help build may reach millions of users as soon as it ships, so you will learn how to deliver quality code into production.

Responsibilities

• Spot important problems, propose solutions and build prototypes to test them.
• Keep up with newly published state-of-the-art algorithms.
• Mine large datasets and turn them into clear, actionable insights that help the company stay ahead of competitors.
• Build high-performance algorithms and test them before putting them into scalable, production-ready code.
• Share your ideas openly with your team.
• You could work on one of these projects: improving the product recommendation engine and its APIs; building models that predict how likely a user is to prefer a product category or brand; improving production models through feature and model engineering, offline evaluation and online testing; extracting product attributes from information advertisers provide; studying the fairness of AI-driven advertising and then proposing and implementing fixes.

Requirements

• You are in the final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, mathematics, statistics or computer science.
• You have experience with classical and modern statistical learning methods and you can process data well.
• You have hands-on experience implementing software in high-level languages such as Python, Scala, Java or C.
• You communicate well in English.
• Not every requirement needs to be met. If your background differs but you believe you can add value, the company wants to hear from you.
