M365 Engineer

The M365 Engineer designs, implements and supports enterprise collaboration tools that give people a secure, reliable and scalable digital workplace.

You act as the technical expert for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams Rooms and Entra ID, working with infrastructure, security and business stakeholders. You drive automation, operational improvements and platform innovation while staying compliant with enterprise security standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer and tune Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups and Copilot.
• Design, deploy and support Teams Rooms and other integrated meeting room technology.
• Manage identity and access with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Conditional Access and authentication policies.
• Build and maintain automation with PowerShell and the Microsoft Graph API to make operations more efficient.
• Implement and support security, governance, compliance and data protection controls across Microsoft 365.
• Work with infrastructure, security and business teams to deliver collaboration solutions that meet business needs and scale.
• Solve complex platform issues and lead root-cause analysis to improve reliability and performance.
• Assess new Microsoft technologies and recommend changes that improve the employee experience and platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience supporting, administering or engineering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on administration of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online.
• Experience managing identity and access with Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and operational support.
• Experience with the Microsoft Graph API or a similar automation framework.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, governance and access management.
• Strong troubleshooting, systems integration and technical documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Preferred: experience designing and supporting Teams Rooms environments.
• Preferred: experience with Teams Voice, Direct Routing or meeting platform integrations.
• Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Preferred: experience implementing Conditional Access, Zero Trust and Identity Governance controls.
• Preferred: knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking and hybrid enterprise environments.
• Preferred: experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy or other regulated industries.
• Preferred: Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Teams Administrator Associate or Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
• Preferred: experience leading platform modernization, migration or adoption projects.
• Preferred: Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert or related certifications.
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft Copilot, Viva, Microsoft Graph and Power Platform.
• Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft Purview, DLP, information protection, retention and eDiscovery.

Conditions

Minimal travel may be required based on business needs.

You join virtual and onsite meetings and support collaboration tools.

Most of the work is done in a standard office or remotely.

The role involves sitting and using standard computer equipment for long periods.

Base pay range is $81,500 - $108,600.

Pay depends on performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market reviews and geographic market. Annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may also be offered.
