The company turns real enterprise data into training data for AI agents.

Frontier labs can teach models to reason, but not to work through the messy reality of a company's tools: chat threads, unfinished docs, conflicting tickets and access limits. That data cannot be generated synthetically, so it has to be sourced.

The company connects to enterprise tools, anonymizes the data into a digital twin with the same structure, and builds reinforcement-learning environments with expert-level tasks calibrated against frontier models.

It is a Y Combinator company with 8 figure contracts signed with frontier AI labs, and it is scaling delivery quickly over the coming months.

The role leads one of the product squads: ingestion, anonymization and processing, or QA and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Run your squad's delivery end to end, owning its volume, quality and reliability.
• Your squad builds a core part of the pipeline that converts whole company data ecosystems into digital twins for the labs.
• Write and review code yourself, and take on the hardest problems directly rather than working as a pure manager.
• Lead 4 to 6 engineers, several of them very senior: set priorities, run 1:1s, give feedback, support career growth and conduct reviews.
• Take over their day-to-day management from Thomas (CTO and co-founder), to whom you report.
• Hire and onboard new engineers for the squad alongside the founders, covering interviews, closing and onboarding.
• Set technical direction with Thomas and the other leads on stack, infrastructure, data architecture, code quality, testing, observability and AI-native development practices.
• Work closely with product and ops, since delivery and run sit inside the build and priorities shift fast.
• Over the first 12 months, scale the pipeline to hundreds of company data ecosystems a year with reliable, auditable quality, and define how your squad works, including rituals, documentation, on-call and collaboration with other squads.

Requirements

• You have 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineers in teams of 4 to 5 people or more, with senior profiles among them.
• You have deep back-end experience with data-heavy systems: Python or Rust in production, SQL, distributed pipelines and cloud infrastructure such as GCP or similar.
• You have built with coding agents daily for months and know how to help a team ship faster and more safely with them; every engineer here runs several Claude Code sessions in parallel.
• You have shipped in demanding, fast-moving start-up or scale-up settings.
• You hold a high bar for quality and security, since the company handles partners' most sensitive data.
• You lead through clarity and trust, keep a low ego and help the people around you improve.
• You speak fluent English, which is mandatory as the working language with clients and labs.
• Extra: data engineering at scale, including ETL/ELT, orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster, and warehouses and lakes.
• Extra: experience with data anonymization, privacy or security-sensitive systems.
• Extra: a strong interest in AI, RL environments and how frontier models are trained.
• Extra: TypeScript, for the platform.
