Lead Security Automation Architect

Description

The company is a global technology distributor and is hiring a security architect for its team spread across all the regions where it operates.

The role covers a broad set of security areas, including cloud and AI security, and the work is to protect the business from changing cyber threats.

You will review current security measures and processes in every geography the company operates in, then drive improvements, find weak points and fix them, and respond quickly to suspected breaches.

Core areas include security and privacy built in from the design stage, zero trust architecture, information protection, application security, identity and access management, risk assessment, controls assurance, threat analytics, incident response and security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Advise IT and security leaders on how the company's security strategy, technology and processes should evolve.
• Design and build secure architectures for cloud, AI and traditional IT environments, with security built into every part of the technology infrastructure.
• Partner with IT, application development and business units to secure cloud environments, AI applications and infrastructure.
• Assess risks in internal services, cloud platforms and third parties, then lead remediation and improvements.
• Build the information security management system, security policies, standards and procedures, and carry out security due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Create and deliver security training for IT and business colleagues.

Requirements

• More than 10 years, and up to 15 years, of relevant work experience.
• Security and technology certifications, or equivalent proven work experience.
• Formal knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman or FEAF.
• Proficiency in cloud security across AWS, Azure and GCP, plus AI security, network security and endpoint protection.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Experience with SIEM, intrusion detection and user behavior analytics (UBA).
• Skill in scripting with Python or PowerShell to automate tasks.
• Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps practices and OWASP.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), cryptography and data loss prevention (DLP).
• Exposure to offensive security practices.
• Hands-on skills in IT infrastructure and networking.
