Description

The team needs a Lead Analyst for Marketing Analytics, someone who owns reporting and builds a deeper picture of what really moves marketing growth, while helping other analysts act on the gaps and openings that matter most.

You will pull strategic opportunities out of the Marketing Financials process and make them usable across analytics and marketing. Using and simplifying emerging technology and AI, you will help build the technical base that turns complicated data into shared resources, insights and clear priorities.

Your work will often cross pillars. You will find horizontal opportunities no single Marketing Analytics pillar sees, build the business case for the important ones, and pass them to the team best placed to deliver. You will not own every initiative, but you will see the full picture and help decide where the biggest leverage sits. You will also shape how the wider team collaborates and sets priorities.

You understand what makes a data product useful to marketing leaders, and you want to help other analytics teams act on what you find. You will keep data quality high across a wide horizontal scope and give a clear, honest view of past growth drivers, which becomes the groundwork for future strategy and shared understanding across analytics.

The goal is to turn complex marketing data into a scalable source of insight, growth explanation and strategic action. You will build the technical setup that explains marketing performance, including automated tools such as Streamlit apps, AI and agentic automation, and reporting. You will also raise productivity and prioritisation across the team through semantic layers, impact calculations and shared AI skills.

The focus is on why performance moves, not just reporting it. You will find the highest-value opportunities in Marketing Financials and work with marketing, analytics, product and regional teams to deliver and refine them.

The company is a global technology business that moves and manages money across borders for people and businesses. The team is international.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the reporting, tools and infrastructure that explain growth drivers, so the wider business understands the mechanics behind performance.
  • Lead the next stage of productionising Marketing Financials, automating driver analysis and running deep dives into the causes of growth.
  • Spot key opportunities and gaps in Marketing Financials and take them through to execution with the wider Marketing Analytics team and stakeholders.
  • Lead the build and rollout of analytics tools such as Lightdash reporting, Streamlit apps and AI or agentic automation that make growth drivers clear. Help the wider team adopt these tools.
  • Balance technical rigour with speed to ship data products that turn complex growth drivers into clear business impact.
  • Work with Marketing, Analytics and Regional teams as the link between finding data-led opportunities and acting on them.
  • Be the subject matter expert on the Marketing Analytics team's technical infrastructure, tuned for driver analysis and explanation rather than standard reporting.
  • Help shape analytics strategy so the team's data is easy to find, widely used and focused on what people can act on.
  • Manage several cross-team initiatives at once, communicate clearly, rank them by impact, and keep stakeholders aligned from identification to delivery.
  • Define and improve how the wider Marketing Analytics team works, setting practices and prioritisation frameworks so the pillars collaborate well and focus on the highest-impact work.

Requirements

  • Required: 4+ years of hands-on experience in marketing analytics, data engineering or an insights role. Ideally you are early in your move toward technical lead work.
  • Required: strong SQL and advanced Python.
  • Required: experience with modern data stacks, including dbt, data warehousing such as Snowflake, and visualisation or semantic layers such as Lightdash or Looker.
  • Required: a proven record of finding analytical opportunities in financial or marketing processes and reporting on them well.
  • Required: a solid grasp of how marketing works, so that the technical products you build explain growth drivers in a meaningful way.
  • Required: a habit of building systems and automated insights that measurably improve how the business understands and uses data.
  • Required: interest and experience in project management, improving ways of working and helping other teams collaborate efficiently.
  • Preferred: experience building data products such as Streamlit apps, custom internal tools like JIRA, or AI-integrated workflows.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AI-native development tools such as Cursor, Claude or GitHub Copilot, used to speed up data products and automated agents.
  • Preferred: a proven ability to automate context around data, building systems that explain growth drivers clearly to a broad group of stakeholders.
  • If you are excited about the role but do not match every point above, the company still wants to hear from you.
