  • Get quotes from vendors and internal teams for the parts and services included in each bid.
  • Apply costing and process design methods early in projects to improve the odds of winning.
  • Juggle several tasks and deadlines and deliver them on time.
  • Build relationships with sales managers and local representatives, and help regional sales managers with customer calls, design kickoff meetings and value engineering reviews.
  • Follow internal rules for bid preparation, proposal tracking, order package authorization and sales forecasting.
  • Take on other duties your manager assigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, environmental or chemical engineering, chemistry, or another bachelor's degree in science.
  • Minimum 3 years in water or wastewater engineering or equipment supply, ideally with some knowledge of membrane process equipment.
  • Minimum 2 years preparing bids and proposals, and reading bid specifications from both technical and commercial angles, including contract terms and conditions.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Extensive computer skills in Google, MS Office Suite, Salesforce and SAP.
  • Experience producing and reading engineered system P&ID and CAD drawings.
  • Strong time management, grasp of engineering principles and project management skills.
