This is a Manager-level role in the Cloud Products Framework group, part of the Infrastructure & Cloud team.

The group focuses mainly on machine learning capabilities across the company.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy and research to grow machine learning cloud product capabilities on Azure and AWS.
• Promote cloud product strategies, solutions and best practice across the company.
• Design, build and deliver ML models and components for internal use cases.
• Make infrastructure decisions based on ML modelling methods and issues, including model and feature selection, training and validation.
• Assess new technologies and techniques, propose patterns for their use, and lead reference code to set standards.
• Give direction and mentor others on design, development and implementation practice, at a thought leadership level in your technology.
• Create and implement technical solution designs and resolve issues.
• Support technical roadmaps so that solution strategy is delivered on time.
• Build a broad understanding of related domains, their dependencies and key senior stakeholders.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers and collaborate across teams.
• Explain complex technical information clearly and concisely, adapted to the audience.
• Help developers across the company deploy cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable and efficient.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Solid grasp of infrastructure as code concepts.
• Experience with Azure and AWS.
• Experience leading or building ML solutions.
• Experience with DevOps practices, especially deploying machine learning models.
• Hands-on work with CI/CD pipelines, code scanning tools, secrets management, Docker and Java, JavaScript, C or Python.
• Experience with GitHub or GitLab, either one.
• Deep knowledge of architecture principles and design methods.
• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Able to communicate well and present confidently.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodology.
