Description

The Global Technology team builds and runs the systems that let the organization move quickly and scale efficiently, and digital change is part of how it works.

This Lead role sits in the Cyber Security Operations Center, which handles triage, event handling and initial threat assessment for the enterprise and is working to mature the Cyber Defense & Response organization.

You will work with a high degree of independence and help shape secure architecture and cyber resiliency across the company through data-driven insights, automation and orchestration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the shift on operations, keeping track of live security events and new threats, and moving resources as business risk and workload change.
  • Coordinate and improve alert intake, triage and prioritization so alerts are acknowledged and processed within defined SLAs.
  • Check every proposed escalation before it reaches downstream teams, confirming it is accurate, correctly prioritized and backed by enough analysis.
  • Run quality control and documentation for event handling, making sure every event is recorded, tracked and handled consistently.
  • Improve event handling runbooks, SOPs and operating processes by finding gaps and inefficiencies and adding automation.
  • Keep your technical skills current on threats, attack methods and industry trends to strengthen the organization's capability.
  • Communicate and work with cybersecurity, IT and business stakeholders to coordinate responses, deliver security improvements and reduce risk.
  • Mentor junior analysts by reviewing their work, sharing good practice and building their analysis and reporting skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a cybersecurity-focused role, including at least 2 years in security operations.
  • Strong knowledge of event handling, detection methods and SOC operations.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise technology, including operating systems, network appliances, identity and access management, and cloud or SaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, XDR/EDR, IDS/IPS and other security tools.
  • Ability to analyze security data from networks, systems and applications, spot anomalies, validate alerts and separate real threats from false positives.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to learning new skills on an ongoing basis through self-initiative and hard problems.
  • Analytical thinking: you break complex problems into smaller parts to identify threats, understand attack patterns and find root causes.
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative environments.
  • Time management and prioritization: you handle many tasks, put critical incidents ahead of low-priority alerts, and keep work moving in a fast environment.
  • Ability to use diverse ideas, experiences and perspectives for the organization's benefit.
  • Experience driving automation and orchestration to improve efficiency.
  • Relevant certifications such as GIAC GCIH, GSOC, GCFA or GNFA are a plus.

Conditions

Base salary range is $123,700.00 to $204,100.00, required by state law for residents in applicable locations. Actual pay may vary within this range based on location, experience and skills.
