Description

The company's Enterprise AI Products team is small and global, and builds AI solutions for the wider bank.

The team works on Agentic AI: enabling data sharing across agent ecosystems, supporting new use cases, and shaping the AI architecture through purpose-built tooling. The work sits where cutting-edge technology meets real business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical components from start to finish, keeping them aligned with business and product goals.
  • Work with senior business and technology stakeholders to understand their problems and turn them into technical solutions.
  • Help set the product roadmap, technical strategy and priorities with the team lead and wider stakeholders.
  • Design, build and implement scalable, production-quality solutions using sound engineering and architecture principles.
  • Build Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions using Google ADK.
  • Design, build and test AI Agents, including work with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and MCP servers.
  • Write high-quality code in Python, Java, or both.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, and help grow the team.
  • Raise engineering quality through code reviews, technical design reviews, testing and strong CI/CD practices.
  • Make sure solutions meet the company's risk, security and compliance requirements and integrate well with wider technology platforms.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or a similar senior engineering role.
  • Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, software architecture and technical design.
  • Strong hands-on development experience in Python and/or Java. Experience with both is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Generative AI and AI Agents, ideally including Google ADK.
  • Practical experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI, data or service integration is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, networking, databases and CLI tooling. Postgres or Oracle experience is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps tools such as Jenkins, uDeploy, Tekton, Harness or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to shape technical strategy and roadmaps and to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Genuine interest in business problems and in working closely with non-technical stakeholders, as comfortable discussing business needs as reviewing code.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage business and technology leaders directly.
  • Experience leading technically, mentoring or managing people within software engineering teams.
  • Desirable: experience with Neo4j or other graph databases, UX or front-end development, and broader AI platform technologies.
  • Education: a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is preferred. Graduate-level or continuing education is a plus.
