Lab Automation Tooling Developer

Description

The Device Layer Management (DLM) team builds and supports web portal-based lab automation applications, mostly written in Ruby and Python.

The team supports the Engineering labs in the Networking organization and several Technical Support labs at the company.

The tools serve more than 5,000 internal users.

The company runs edge-to-cloud infrastructure and software for connecting, protecting and analyzing customer data and applications.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain and improve the suite of lab automation tools.
• Build RESTful microservices.
• Develop, debug and test applications across the full development process.
• Learn advanced development and code management practices from an experienced team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience developing AI applications.
• A general understanding of computer networking.
• Nice to have: experience with relational databases.
• Nice to have: experience with Ruby on Rails.

Conditions

Hybrid role: you work from a company office an average of 2 days per week.

Based in Puerto Rico, Job level TCP03, Engineering job family.
