IT Software Engineer

Description

The company designs memory and storage solutions for the semiconductor industry.

This role supports and builds software for Technology Development and future high-volume manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Keep critical manufacturing software, databases and data-analysis systems reliable and available.
• Resolve critical IT downtime with permanent repairs or temporary workarounds.
• Monitor line and IT system performance and respond quickly when it drops.
• Build lasting software fixes for important business needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams, customers, developers and infrastructure groups at every site to deliver quality support and uptime.
• Apply global best-known methods (BKMs) to drive efficiency and change.
• Reduce IT impact on operations and lower how much support is needed.
• Design and build support, maintenance and metric-gathering utilities.
• Gather, analyze and present data, including efficiency gains and root-cause analysis.
• Recommend changes that improve production, engineering and process efficiency.
• Learn new tools to maintain and troubleshoot existing software.
• Write and maintain training documentation for first- and second-level IT support.
• Build and maintain KPIs and ITSI monitoring solutions.
• Use AI systems and workflows to make the team more effective.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in this job or a related occupation.
• Have skills in C, Perl, Bash, Visual Basic (.NET), SQL, XML, Linux, Unix, Python, PowerShell and HTML.
