Description

The company is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies, from large enterprises to early-stage startups, use it to take payments, grow revenue and open new business opportunities.

Every growing online platform now needs a way to confirm that its users can be trusted, much as it once needed a payments team.

The company Identity lets businesses verify users digitally with identity documents and other signals. It serves fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and trust and safety needs.

The Identity Product Experience team builds the company Identity's mobile SDKs for iOS, Android, and React Native. Businesses use them to add identity checks inside their own mobile apps. The team's work covers mobile UX, reusable SDK architecture, camera and document capture, developer experience, security, accessibility, reliability, and integration with the backend.

The team is looking for engineers who care about mobile craftsmanship and the whole user journey. You will turn complicated technical and regulatory rules into clear, polished experiences, handle uncertainty, and pick up new tools and systems quickly.

The goal is a large, trusted store of verified identities that works across the company and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the mobile SDKs and verification flows for iOS, Android, and React Native.
  • Shape clean, polished experiences for demanding flows like ID document and selfie capture, taking into account accessibility, device differences, and real-world conditions.
  • Create dependable, extensible SDK APIs and reusable components so developers can integrate the company Identity easily.
  • Work across mobile clients, APIs, and services so features ship end to end, not as an isolated mobile layer.
  • Improve SDK performance, reliability, observability, testing, release process, and backward compatibility.
  • Make architecture choices that weigh user experience, developer experience, security, privacy, and long-term upkeep.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, ML engineers, backend engineers, user researchers, and other mobile teams.
  • Talk with the company users and field teams about integration problems and turn what you hear into product and platform changes.
  • Help set up and grow mobile engineering practices across Identity and the wider company.
  • Run and maintain the systems and SDKs the team owns, diagnose production issues, and make fixes based on what you learn.

Requirements

  • Meet the minimum requirements to be considered. If you do, you are welcome to apply. Preferred qualifications are a plus, not a requirement.
  • Minimum requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional software development, including real experience shipping mobile apps or SDKs.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major mobile platform, using Swift or Objective-C for iOS.
  • Solid software design skills and experience building maintainable APIs, components, or frameworks.
  • Experience with mobile work beyond the UI, such as calling APIs and services, managing local state, or using device features.
  • Experience testing, debugging, monitoring, and improving mobile software in production.
  • Ability to work well with engineering, product, design, and other technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • A clear commitment to high-quality experiences for users and developers.
  • Preferred qualifications (a bonus, not required):
  • Experience building mobile SDKs, shared libraries, or developer-facing APIs that other teams use.
  • Experience with iOS and Android, or with cross-platform tools like React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Experience with camera, image processing, document capture, biometrics, or other device-based mobile features.
  • Experience designing mobile software that handles sensitive data, with security and privacy built in from the start.
  • Familiarity with accessibility, internationalization, mobile performance, and poor network conditions.
  • Experience with mobile CI, automated testing, release automation, observability, or developer tooling.
  • Experience contributing to backend APIs or services that support mobile products.
  • Skill at reducing complex requirements and choosing durable, scalable solutions.
  • Comfort reasoning clearly and acting quickly in a fast-moving, ambiguous setting.
  • Familiarity with the company products, ideally from integrating the company APIs or SDKs into an app.
