Information Security Engineer III (Azure)

Description

The team secures Azure services for the company, which has more than 9,000 associates across 30+ offices around the world.

This is an Information Security Engineer III role.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and accountability for securing Azure services and support the company's cloud strategy.
• Help reduce operational risk and strengthen the company's security posture.
• Keep Azure adoption secure and sustainable while meeting regulatory and enterprise security expectations.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• Have at least 5 years of experience with core security principles across several areas: identity and access management, cryptography, network security protocols (e.g., TLS, SSH), and secure coding fundamentals.
• Have experience securing large-scale cloud environments, protecting heavily regulated data, implementing Azure security controls, supporting compliance, and enabling secure cloud operations across the platform.
• Have hands-on experience applying NIST SP 800-53 and CIS Benchmarks to harden systems and meet best practices, including checking system configurations against them.
• Have experience making infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and GitOps the default way to provision, including policy-as-code and IaC security scanning, and building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) with automated testing and controlled promotion so manual, unrepeatable changes are removed.
• Be proficient in Python and PowerShell scripting.
• Preferred: cloud and automation certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Professional or DevOps Engineer, Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Azure Administrator (AZ-104).
• Preferred: security and identity certifications such as ISC2 CISSP or CCSP, CSA CCSK, Microsoft AZ-500, SC-300, SC-100, or MD-102, AWS Security, Specialty, CKS, or CompTIA Security+/CySA+.

Conditions

Base salary ranges: Charlotte $121,554-$194,486; Southern California $141,648-$226,637; San Antonio $116,447-$186,315; New York $150,155-$240,248.
