Industrial Security Analyst - Level 3 or 4

The Space Sector team is hiring an Industrial Security Analyst at Level 3 or 4 in Linthicum, MD.

You will act as Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and join the Program Security Team, where you handle security work across SAP and SCI disciplines.

The role supports missions of high importance and involves building and keeping working relationships with both internal and external customers on a busy, high-profile program.

Responsibilities

• Study and apply company and federal security policies, regulations and procedures that apply to company operations.
• Request rulings, interpretations and acceptable deviations from government agencies so the program stays compliant.
• Run program security compliance and operations across SCIF and/or SAPF administration, PHYSEC, COMSEC, PERSEC, OPSEC, contract security, security education, investigations, visitor control and document control.
• Build and run a security education and awareness program.
• Carry out internal security audits, investigate violations and write reports that set out preventive actions.
• Make sure classified programs and cleared facilities follow contract guidance, including the Security Statements of Work, DD Form 254 and DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications.
• Help program managers and staff read, apply and follow the program Security Classification Guides (SCG).
• Support personnel security: review and process documents for SCI and SAP nominations, keep PERSEC databases, prepare and manage indoctrinations and debriefings, and handle clearance and access records in government systems.
• Set up and self-inspect facility security under Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), covering SCI and SAP programs.
• Give security support on SCIF and SAPF construction projects, including securing customer accreditation under SCI and SAP DoD Manuals, ICD, ICS Tech Spec and other government requirements.
• Manage and maintain UL-2050 compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
• Serve as Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO) when needed and keep accountability for classified material.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Level 3: a bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of professional experience. An additional 4+ years of experience can be considered in place of a degree.
• Level 4: a bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience, or a master's degree with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years. An additional 4+ years of experience can be considered in place of a degree.
• An active U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance when you apply, current and within scope, and the ability to obtain and keep SAP and/or SCI approval before onboarding.
• Working knowledge of CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM), JAFAN, DoDM 5205.07, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), DoD Manuals and related security requirements.
• Experience with desktop computers and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, careful record-keeping and accurate data entry across several databases and spreadsheets.
• Preferred: experience as a CPSO working within a SCIF or SAPF.
• Preferred: DCID 6/4 or ICD 704 eligibility shown in DISS Active.
• Preferred: TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
• Preferred: experience with SIMS and/or government security databases such as JADE.

Conditions

Work is 100% onsite in Linthicum, MD, and cannot be done remotely.

Travel is required about 10% of the time.

A Top Secret clearance is required to start.

No relocation assistance is offered.

Base salary is $89,900.00 to $134,900.00 for the primary level and $112,200.00 to $168,200.00 for the secondary level, set by scope, experience, education, skills and market conditions.
