Description

The company is a global provider of financial markets infrastructure and data, with 25,000 staff across 65 countries.

Your remit covers how analytics products are planned, built and scaled across cross asset, fund, private markets and predictive analytics offerings. You report to the CIO for Data and Analytics Engineering.

You own end-to-end engineering of analytics covering pricing, risk, derived metrics and AI/ML-driven predictive analytics. Outputs must scale, run in production and fit client workflows.

The role sits between financial domain knowledge, large-scale distributed systems and applied AI/ML, and you are answerable for how products are engineered, productionised and scaled across the company.

AI/ML powers predictive analytics and is spreading into cross asset, fund and private markets. You will set up engineering frameworks for integrating, deploying, monitoring and managing models at scale.

The role pairs product thinking with deep technical leadership so analytics are commercially distinct, technically sound and suited to client needs. You lead a high-performing organisation, set engineering direction and work with product, research and commercial leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Set and run the analytics engineering strategy across a group of analytics products, in step with the data and analytics product engineering business unit.
  • Turn customer and market needs into scalable analytics and own a forward roadmap for analytics calculations and AI/ML, built with product and commercial teams.
  • Shape the company's engineering direction and its standing as a recognised leader in analytics and data-driven tools.
  • Lead architecture, design and delivery of production-grade analytics products such as pricing and risk, covering real-time and batch workloads.
  • Set and enforce standards for code quality, testing and observability.
  • Own delivery of complex, high-impact programmes and keep teams aligned on them.
  • Give senior technical direction, guiding architecture and key design choices.
  • Lead the integration of AI/ML into analytics products, with a clear route to production, monitoring and governance.
  • Assess and adopt new technologies that improve analytics and their commercial value.
  • Apply fixed income and derivatives expertise so pricing, risk and derived metrics are accurate, fast and match client workflows.
  • Work across Sales, Product, Research, Data Platforms, Communities and other engineering teams so outcomes serve more than one domain.
  • Build trusted relationships across the company, linking analytics engineering priorities to group strategy and customer results.
  • Lead without direct authority by bringing teams together, resolving trade-offs and driving decisions that favour the company as a whole.
  • Explain complex technical matters as clear business insight and decisions.
  • Build and grow a high-performing analytics engineering organisation with an inclusive, collaborative culture.
  • Keep teams, programmes and senior stakeholders aligned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering, with deep experience scaling analytics computations for financial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income and derivatives, including pricing and risk.
  • Strong programming in Python, Java and C++, with proven work on distributed data and analytics systems, high-throughput pipelines and low-latency computation.
  • Strong grasp of AI/ML systems and production deployment, including managing model lifecycles.
  • Experience at a financial data provider, exchange, sell-side firm or quantitative firm with a comparable data and analytics setup.
  • Career stage: Group Director.

Conditions

Anticipated base salary is $231,400 to $385,800.

Base pay ranges may differ by location, city and state, and individual pay reflects job knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.

The role is eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP, the bonus plan), with target rates set by role level and career stage.

Roles are typically benefits-eligible, except internships and part-time roles under 20 hours per week.

The company does not discriminate on protected grounds and will make reasonable accommodations for religious practices and mental health or disability needs, as applicable law requires.

  • 401(k) savings plan with company match.
  • Basic life insurance, disability benefits and emergency backup dependent care.
  • Adoption assistance and commuter assistance.
  • Paid volunteering days and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Healthcare and retirement planning support.
