Description

Permanent graduate role starting September 2027, combining 2 years of hands-on learning with real ownership of work from day one.

The company builds AI compute, from semiconductors and software to datacenter-scale systems. It is owned by SoftBank Group and works with other companies in that group.

The Software QA team mixes software engineering, automation and data analysis to raise product quality and customer experience. The team works heavily with industry-standard ML frameworks and models and contributes to upstream open-source projects.

The team is split into small squads, each owning an area of software quality. Graduates try several areas before choosing a squad.

You will have a buddy for everyday questions and a manager who supports your development, helps you plan your career and makes room for learning.

Responsibilities

  • Build representative machine learning workloads and analyse their numerical accuracy and performance.
  • Design tests and help improve testing strategy and infrastructure across simulated and physical hardware.
  • Build continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Investigate hard problems and turn your findings into measurable improvements.
  • Work with development teams to improve quality, security and maintainability, using test results and performance data to guide decisions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Maths, Machine Learning, Data Science or a related field.
  • Strong Python skills and proficiency in C++.
  • Experience with Linux and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
  • Useful: exposure to ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, Triton or TensorFlow, test automation, CI/CD, data analytics, hardware architectures or compilers.
  • Additional strength, not essential: experience with distributed workload management systems or machine learning operations (MLOps) pipelines.

Conditions

Start date: September 2027.

Apply by midnight on 29 November 2026. Applications may close before that date, so apply early.

You must already have the right to work in the UK for the full length of the programme. Visa sponsorship is not available for Early Careers roles.

If shortlisted, you will complete a technical assessment. Final-stage candidates attend in-person assessments in early spring. You will hear the outcome by early December at the latest.

The company welcomes people from all backgrounds and offers interview adjustments on request.
