Full-Stack Engineer with .NET and Angular

The company is a software engineering partner that builds dedicated teams for a client's insurance consulting and technology division. That division has over 1,700 colleagues in 35 markets and serves more than 1,000 insurers worldwide.

You join the company's dedicated team under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. You work only with the client while you are employed by the company and grow your career there.

The team helps bring AI-enabled engineering practices and modern ways of working into the next generation of insurance products and services.

You will be part of a cross-functional product team that modernises the user experience, backend services and cloud platform of one of the client's strategic cloud platforms.

The platform is a business-critical distributed compute system. It provisions Azure compute on demand, runs heavy insurance modelling jobs submitted by several business applications, and acts as a shared cloud base for analytical services.

The work spans frontend, backend and cloud-native engineering. It covers replacing legacy technology, rebuilding AngularJS portals, modernising backend services, adding Infrastructure as Code, moving workloads to Azure Container Apps and strengthening deployment automation and resilience.

You will work alongside platform engineers, architects, product owners, DevOps engineers and QA specialists, and build deep knowledge of cloud platform engineering and distributed systems.

Success means shipping secure, maintainable and easy-to-operate frontend and backend changes, improving reliability, scalability and performance through well-tested work, following agreed standards and review feedback, supporting predictable delivery through automation and CI/CD, solving delivery problems with others, and sharing knowledge to strengthen the engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Build modern Angular applications that replace the legacy AngularJS user and administration portals.
• Design, build and maintain.NET backend services that support distributed compute workloads.
• Create and extend REST APIs used by several business applications.
• Modernise legacy platform features without disrupting business continuity.
• Write scalable, maintainable and secure code using current engineering practices.
• Help move workloads to Azure Container Apps and containerised setups.
• Support Infrastructure as Code using OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Contribute to cloud-native modernisation initiatives.
• Take part in updating deployment pipelines and release automation.
• Improve the scalability, maintainability and operational resilience of the platform.
• Write unit, integration and automated tests that keep the software reliable.
• Review code and join technical discussions.
• Apply Clean Code principles, modern design patterns and best practices.
• Support continuous integration and delivery, and improvements that enable zero-downtime deployments.
• Join production support and the on-call rotation with the engineering team.
• Help investigate incidents, find root causes and make ongoing platform fixes.
• Share knowledge and help grow the team's engineering skills.

Requirements

• 4, 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Solid experience with C, current.NET and ASP.NET.
• Solid experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Good grasp of object-oriented programming and modern engineering principles.
• Experience building applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerised applications.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, and willingness to work with OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Understanding of cloud-native application principles.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Understanding of Clean Code and software design patterns.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
• Ability to work in a collaborative cross-functional engineering team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A proactive approach to solving problems.
• Willingness to learn modern cloud platform technologies.
• A drive for continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• Preferred: experience with Azure Container Apps, Azure Batch, OpenTofu or Terraform, Playwright, SQL Server, Redis and SignalR.
• Preferred: experience on cloud-native platforms and in modernising legacy enterprise applications.

Conditions

Full-time employment contract.

Gross base salary starts from PLN 15 267 per month.

Pay is set on objective, gender-neutral criteria such as skills, experience and role responsibilities, and this figure does not limit equal pay for work of equal value.
