Full Stack Engineer - AI Engineering - New Capabilities

Description

The company builds AI-native enterprise software that large organisations use to manage assets, operations and critical services. It has a billion-dollar revenue and more than 7000 employees across all continents.

You will work embedded with customers on scheduling optimisation for manufacturing, using the company's enterprise scheduling and optimisation platform. The platform has a.NET 10 and C backend and an Angular frontend, and it solves complex resource planning problems at scale.

This is a hands-on role that blends software engineering, applied optimisation and direct customer work.

Success means customer planning problems are modelled accurately and solved within performance targets, working solutions reach customers on tight timelines, and optimizer performance and quality issues are diagnosed and fixed quickly. It also means field learnings lead to product and engineering improvements and that you build trusted relationships with customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to turn real scheduling and planning problems into optimisation models.
• Configure, extend and debug the core scheduling engine and related components using live customer data.
• Build and refine solutions with customer teams, often under tight deadlines.
• Pass what you learn in the field to the core product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• A solid software engineering background, ideally in C and.NET, and comfort reading and changing a large codebase.
• Hands-on experience with optimisation, constraint programming, mathematical or linear programming, or algorithm development.
• Ability to gather requirements, explain trade-offs and present results to customers.
• A drive to ship and iterate quickly when requirements are unclear.
• Strong analytical skills for working through messy real-world constraints.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, building and shipping production AI applications. Using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or GitHub Copilot to help write software does not meet this requirement without experience building AI-powered products or systems.
• Working knowledge of the stack:.NET 10, C, Angular, TypeScript, constraint programming, linear programming, heuristics, algorithm development, Git, automated testing and DevOps.
• Preferred / bonus: experience with Angular, TypeScript or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Preferred / bonus: a background in workforce or resource scheduling.
• Preferred / bonus: experience modelling large-scale data.
• Preferred / bonus: familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms or vertical-specific optimisation products.

Conditions

The work is hybrid, combining on-site time with embedded work in customer environments.
