Description

The role is based at the Warsaw plant and is a full-time position for experienced professionals. Job number R000152664.

You will design, build, test and maintain production-ready full-stack software and reusable foundational modules, turning business needs and user stories into technical solutions. The work uses React or a similar frontend framework together with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Solutions follow shared architecture, horizontal engineering frameworks, security standards and CI/CD practices. You own the work from refinement and coding through deployment and production support.

The company runs a portfolio of globally known consumer brands and operates in about 70 countries. The team is looking for a hands-on engineer who pairs strong development skills with technical ownership and a drive to keep improving systems.

This is mainly a hands-on engineering role. Technical oversight supports your development work rather than replacing it. When needed, you will review vendor-built code, check application quality and advise the development, SRE, QA and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Clarify requirements and design solutions. Turn business needs and user stories into clear technical requirements, implementation plans and maintainable designs.
  • Build full-stack software. Develop, test and maintain frontend applications, backend services, APIs and GCP components.
  • Create reusable foundations. Develop shared modules, services and reference implementations that fit the horizontal architecture and engineering standards.
  • Own components through their lifecycle. Take work from design and coding through automated testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring and upkeep.
  • Build for production. Include security, reliability, observability, performance and supportability from the start.
  • Review vendor work. Carry out code reviews, assess automated tests and check applications against agreed requirements and standards.
  • Advise other teams when needed. Guide vendor development, SRE, QA and operations teams on implementation quality, technical problems and production readiness.
  • Reduce technical debt steadily. Find and rank refactoring, dependency updates, automation and reliability work, and deliver the agreed items in spare capacity between delivery commitments.
  • Work with partners. Collaborate with product, architecture, platform, security and operations stakeholders to clear dependencies and ship integrated solutions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building full-stack applications, including frontend, backend services, APIs and data persistence.
  • Practical experience with React or a comparable modern frontend framework, and the ability to apply it to our frontend stack.
  • Working knowledge of GCP, including how cloud services support building, deploying and running applications.
  • Ability to take a defined component from requirements to working software on your own, including design, implementation, testing and documentation.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals: maintainable code, application architecture, version control, automated testing and CI/CD.
  • Ability to review code and troubleshoot applications, spotting defects, design weaknesses and room for improvement.
  • An architectural mindset within established frameworks, balancing reuse, simplicity, security, reliability and maintainability.
  • A proactive approach to improvement, willing to refactor existing code and tackle technical debt as well as build new features.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical decisions and guide internal and vendor engineering teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Optional: experience building reusable modules, shared services or platform capabilities.
  • Optional: exposure to SRE, observability, production support and infrastructure automation.
  • Optional: experience reviewing vendor-built software or working with external engineering teams.
  • Optional: experience using AI-assisted development tools, with appropriate code review, testing and security checks.
