Frontend Developer - Senior

Description

The company is a technology firm within a larger global organization and works with the US federal government. Its roughly 13,000 people support clients in defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health.

This is a senior frontend role on a team focused on enterprise applications. You would build interfaces meant to be intuitive and work well for users, turning designs and business needs into scalable frontend solutions.

You would also mentor junior developers, help improve processes, and work across teams, while applying secure development practices.

Responsibilities

• Turn business requirements and design specifications into scalable frontend solutions.
• Create reusable UI components and connect them to backend services through RESTful APIs.
• Improve application performance, cross-platform compatibility, and accessibility compliance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ship secure, high-quality software.
• Coach junior developers and lead efforts to establish frontend best practices.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab, and manage code versions with Git.
• Follow secure coding practices and meet performance standards.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret / SCI with CI poly clearance, and US citizenship.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript or TypeScript, and responsive design.
• Experience connecting frontend applications to RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, performance optimization, and secure coding.
• Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with in-house custom applications, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, JFrog Artifactory, and AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in Angular UI development,.NET C, MySQL, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, and integrating reasoning components, retrieval systems, databases, and AI/GenAI services.
• Experience with ETL processes using Python, RabbitMQ, Celery, Redis or Valkey, and databases including MySQL, Postgres, and Microsoft SQL.
• Experience supporting cloud-native and containerized application environments.
• Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures and modern frontend development patterns.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and Agile methodologies.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading frontend best-practice efforts.
• Relevant certifications in web development, cloud platforms, or secure software development.

Conditions

The base pay range is $94,000 - $187,600 USD for roles in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia.

Pay varies by office location, role, skill set, and experience, and is shared as a range in those states as local law requires.
