About the Role

Join an early-stage AI company building growth automation for consumer brands. As a hands-on player-coach, you will shape the engineering foundations and help deliver systems that improve merchants' growth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Build data infrastructure that tracks merchant lifecycle events and connects actions with outcomes.
  • Develop agentic growth systems that assess operations, identify opportunities, and execute improvements automatically.
  • Own full-stack development of the growth engine, with a focus on backend systems and infrastructure.
  • Build reliable integrations with commerce, advertising, and marketing platforms, along with orchestration tooling.
  • Mentor engineers while contributing hands-on to product development and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Five to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend skills across data infrastructure, event systems, and API integrations.
  • Experience building and owning production-grade agentic or LLM-powered systems that integrate with third-party APIs.
  • Experience mentoring or leading engineers, and the ability to bring structure to ambiguous work and prioritize effectively.
  • Early-stage startup or founding engineering experience, or experience in a growing startup environment.
  • Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, LLMs, and commerce or marketing integrations such as Shopify, advertising APIs, and email platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of sustained contributions in engineering roles.

Conditions

Base salary is $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
