Responsibilities

  • As the Engineering Manager for FlashBlade//EXA NDU, you will build and lead a systems software engineering team responsible for the non-disruptive upgrade capabilities of the company’s FlashBlade//EXA platform. Combining direct people leadership with deep systems intuition, you will ensure enterprise customers adopt software updates seamlessly without downtime or risk to data integrity. You will set the team's execution strategy, partner across platform and product organizations, and build an engineering culture where test automation, release readiness, and end-to-end failure isolation are treated as core product deliverables.
  • Lead & Grow Engineers: Directly manage, mentor, and build a systems software team, driving measurable goals, career development, and an inclusive culture of accountability.
  • Deliver the NDU Roadmap: Translate product requirements and platform milestones into pragmatic engineering sprints and predictable execution for the FlashBlade//EXA upgrade framework.
  • Architect Resilient Upgrade Workflows: Guide the design and rollout of end-to-end upgrade mechanics—including pre-flight readiness checks, cutover validation, post-upgrade verification, and automated rollbacks.
  • Elevate Release Quality & CI: Raise platform reliability through rigorous automated test strategies, continuous integration practices, and systematic triage across active release and development branches.
  • Manage Dependencies & Alignment: Coordinate cross-functional deliverables across FlashBlade core engineering, test infrastructure, product management, and support teams to proactively resolve risks.
  • WHAT YOU BRING
  • People Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience guiding, developing, and managing high-performing software engineering teams while building a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable engineering culture.
  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated software engineering background building high-throughput distributed systems and customer-facing software, with the technical credibility to guide system architecture reviews, resolve technical trade-offs, and facilitate sound engineering decisions.
  • Stakeholder & Global Collaboration: Proven success driving cross-functional collaboration models across geographically distributed engineering, product, architecture, and security teams, with the ability to align dependencies and translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes.
  • Product & Feature Delivery: Track record of shipping complex, customer-facing products through the full development lifecycle using pragmatic Agile practices to improve team focus, transparency, and delivery predictability.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with the company’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
