Engineer C# (Full Stack)

This full stack C# role sits in an engineering team building applications that support core business functions. You will work with product owners, architects and other engineers, and help shape architecture decisions while keeping security, performance and maintainability in view.

Responsibilities

• Build and upkeep scalable full stack applications with current frameworks and cloud tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ship solid software that meets business goals.
• Build and maintain microservices and API integrations.
• Follow SDLC practice, including CI/CD pipelines and automated tests.
• Improve application speed and apply security best practices.
• Take part in architecture discussions and help move systems toward the target state.
• Diagnose and fix difficult issues in production.
• Coach junior engineers and encourage good engineering habits.
• Join Agile delivery teams for planning, estimation and retrospectives.
• Keep up with new technology and bring useful practices into your work.

Requirements

• Solid experience building full stack applications in large enterprise settings.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and React, or a similar front-end framework.
• Strong back-end experience in C#.
• Understanding of SOLID principles.
• Good grasp of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, and with containers such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, for example GitLab.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and keeping code quality high.
• Strong SQL database skills.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Desired: Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Desired: Experience using AI to assist design and coding.
• Desired: GraphQL and WebSockets.
• Desired: Knowledge of observability tools, for example OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
• Desired: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Desired: Understanding of financial markets or trading systems.
• Desired: Contributions to open-source projects.
• Desired: Awareness of security principles and DevSecOps practices.

Based in London at 135 Bishopsgate, UK, with a hybrid work model.
