Description

The role leads the cybersecurity professional services group in the company's US operation, covering people, delivery, operational performance, and team development.

The leader makes sure engagements are staffed properly and delivered consistently, meeting customer goals, contract terms, quality standards, timelines, and financial targets.

The position helps build and grow the cybersecurity services practice through workforce development, standard delivery methods, operational discipline, and service models that can be repeated.

The team delivers advisory, assessment, architecture, implementation, migration, remediation, and incident readiness work across the cybersecurity portfolio.

The leader works with the Cybersecurity Practice, Portfolio Management, Sales, Solution Architects, Project Management, Managed Services, Operations, and strategic delivery partners to turn finished offerings into scalable, high-quality customer work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery across governance and compliance, AI security and governance, data protection, exposure management, security operations, cyber resilience, and identity and zero trust services.
  • Make sure engagements follow the approved Statements of Work, delivery methods, customer expectations, and internal quality standards.
  • Lead oversight of complex or high-risk engagements and act as the escalation point for delivery, customer, staffing, scope, schedule, or quality issues.
  • Set consistent delivery practices, standards, templates, quality checkpoints, and lessons-learned reviews for all cybersecurity engagements.
  • Manage the handover from sales and solution design to delivery, covering scope validation, staffing readiness, delivery assumptions, acceptance criteria, and customer kickoff preparation.
  • Work with project managers to track engagement health, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, change control, and customer communication.
  • Make sure findings, recommendations, configurations, architectures, and other deliverables are clear, practical, technically sound, and suited to the customer's environment.
  • Build delivery capability through hiring, technical training, certification planning, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Lead, coach, and develop consultants, engineers, architects, and other professional services staff.
  • Plan the workforce by balancing demand, skills, location, utilization, customer needs, and employee growth.
  • Match people to engagements based on technical skill, experience, availability, and risk.
  • Define role expectations, technical skill requirements, certification priorities, and development paths with Cybersecurity Practice leadership.
  • Own recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and retention for delivery staff.
  • Create a culture of accountability, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, customer focus, and collaboration across teams.
  • Decide when work should go to internal staff, strategic partners, or subcontractors, protecting quality, customer experience, and margin.
  • Track utilization, backlog coverage, capacity, project margin, revenue forecasts, time entry, delivery efficiency, and other services metrics.
  • Report accurately and on time on resource demand, staffing gaps, engagement health, delivery risk, and financial performance.
  • Find operational constraints and make changes that improve quality, scalability, predictability, and profitability.
  • Govern subcontractor and partner delivery, including qualification, onboarding, statements of work, performance oversight, and quality assurance.
  • Work with Operations and Finance on forecasting, resource planning, cost control, and corrective action when performance falls short.
  • Work with the Cybersecurity Practice Director and Portfolio Management so new and updated offerings can be delivered before they reach the field.
  • Give delivery input on service design, scope limits, effort estimates, skill needs, dependencies, pricing, and delivery risk.
  • Turn lessons from customer work into better methods, templates, enablement, estimates, and solution definitions.
  • Keep up with changing cybersecurity threats, technologies, frameworks, partner capabilities, and customer requirements that affect delivery.
  • Turn new cybersecurity offerings into repeatable delivery by defining methods, resource needs, quality standards, and implementation approaches.
  • Standardize repeatable delivery while leaving room for complex customer environments.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and join executive engagement reviews when needed.
  • Work with Sales and Solution Architects on strategic or complex opportunities to check delivery approach, staffing, assumptions, sequencing, and risk.
  • Help develop and review proposals, Statements of Work, change requests, and delivery plans.
  • Spot follow-on needs and pass qualified opportunities to Sales without weakening delivery objectivity or quality.
  • Coordinate with Managed Services so project work moves cleanly into ongoing operations, governance, or lifecycle services.
  • Work with other technology practices when cybersecurity outcomes depend on cloud, network, modern workplace, data center, data governance, or other capabilities.
  • Support the company's mission and values, follow applicable federal, state, and local laws, and follow company policies with honest, ethical, and professional conduct.
  • Directly manage assigned cybersecurity professional services employees and may oversee partner or subcontractor staff on customer work, including hiring, work assignment, coaching, development planning, performance management, recognition, and resolving staff or delivery concerns under company policy and law.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology consulting, professional services, systems integration, or related delivery roles.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical consulting or professional services staff.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity domains including governance, risk and compliance, security assessments, data protection, identity and access management, zero trust, vulnerability and exposure management, SIEM, XDR, EDR, firewalls, incident readiness and response, and security architecture.
  • Ability to explain cybersecurity risk in business terms and communicate clearly with technical, operational, and executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001, along with customer regulatory or industry requirements.
  • Ability to judge technical delivery risk and know when deeper specialist expertise is needed.
  • Relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, PMP, or a comparable technical or delivery credential.
  • Experience building, scaling, or transforming a cybersecurity consulting, professional services, or technical delivery organization.
  • Experience running multiple concurrent customer engagements, with accountability for staffing, quality, schedule, scope, risk, and financial results.
  • Experience developing technical talent and managing geographically spread teams.
  • Experience working across sales, presales, project management, delivery, operations, portfolio, and managed services.
  • Working knowledge of Statements of Work, change control, project financials, utilization, capacity planning, and services margin.

  • Experience with strategic cybersecurity technology partners and partner-delivered models.
  • Experience combining professional services with managed security services or ongoing operational support.
