Description

The company has 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets and reaches more than 100 million people each month across websites, mobile apps, streaming and linear TV.

This director role leads go-to-market strategy and messaging for the company's linear and streaming TV and advertising business, with a focus on its streaming ad platform (DSP).

You report to the VP of B2B and Integrated Marketing and work between product, sales and marketing. You will also build and manage a small product marketing team.

Your job is to turn platform features into clear positioning that helps sales win and grow streaming ad revenue. You will bring the needs of mid-sized to large SMBs, the agencies that serve them, and publisher partners to the wider organization.

The role suits someone who thrives in the fast pace of the CTV and streaming market, wants to shape how the company talks to agencies and advertisers, and wants to develop people as well as do hands-on work.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product to turn CTV, streaming and DSP capabilities into positioning, messaging and sales-ready stories.
  • Represent customers in product discussions, pushing for features that bring the most value to advertisers and agencies.
  • Build solid relationships with product, sales, customer success and other stakeholders so you hear about roadmap and market changes early.
  • Own messaging for the streaming ad platform and the wider CTV and streaming offer, keeping it aligned with brand pillars and current terminology.
  • Create positioning that sets the company apart from competitors in CTV ad tech.
  • Explain complex product and data features, such as outcomes-based buying, first-party data and audience targeting, in terms agencies and advertisers care about.
  • Produce and oversee sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, talking points, objection guides and case studies, so sales can grow streaming ad revenue.
  • Work with sales leaders to find enablement gaps and set priorities for new assets.
  • Train and support sales on product launches, feature releases and positioning changes.
  • Grow the streaming ad pipeline by giving sales the right material at the right point in the sales cycle.
  • Tailor messaging and enablement for local and regional agency buyers, a key and growing segment.
  • Work with marketing strategy and insights on packaging, upfront kits and go-to-market campaigns for CTV and streaming priorities.
  • Manage and develop a product marketing analyst: set priorities, coach regularly and grow their skills.
  • Model strong cross-functional teamwork and help the wider B2B marketing team understand and use product positioning.
  • Create scalable processes for asset management, messaging governance and enablement delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product marketing, with meaningful experience in digital content, CTV or streaming media.
  • A background at an ad tech firm, media company or streaming platform is preferred.
  • Proven leadership. Prior people management is preferred, but strong mentoring and cross-functional leadership also count.
  • A record of building messaging and positioning for advertising or media products, ideally for a DSP, ad platform or programmatic business.
  • A track record of working well with product and sales, including enablement materials that drove revenue.
  • Experience working with or selling to local and regional agencies is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, turning technical product detail into clear, persuasive messages for internal and external audiences.
  • Comfortable in a fast-changing, unclear market and willing to adjust messaging as competitors and products shift.
  • Bachelor's degree required. An MBA is a plus but not required.

Conditions

Based in or near New York City or Washington, D.C. is preferred but not required. Hybrid work model.

Some travel expected for sales meetings, agency visits and industry events.

Salary range: $140,000 to $170,000 USD.

  • Benefits support physical, mental and financial health for employees and their families: two medical plan options for full and part-time staff through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, dental and eye care, fertility, surrogacy and adoption help, and disability and life insurance.
  • 401(k): contribute 1% to 80% of pay pre-tax. The company matches 100% of the first 4% of pay, vested from day one. Full, part-time and temporary staff are eligible.
  • All employees and eligible family members get nine free virtual doctor visits through Teladoc and 12 free annual therapy sessions through Spring Health, whether or not they join a company medical plan.
