Devops Engineer

Description

The company is the company's CDAIO / AI TECH division, which is building an AI and data team inside one of the largest banks in the world, as part of a major technology transformation.

The team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, build and deploy scalable, resilient AI solutions.

You will build and maintain the infrastructure and automation pipelines that support the full AI lifecycle, from experimentation to production, with a focus on agility, security and operational excellence.

You will work closely with AI experts, data scientists, ML engineers and enterprise technology partners to deliver AI products that create business value across the company, and this role is central to the AI transformation agenda.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and manage reliable CI/CD pipelines for GenAI applications and containerized services.
• Design infrastructure architecture and deploy solutions that development teams have built, across several environments.
• Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS for the full AI lifecycle, from development through production deployment and monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure as Code, preferably CloudFormation, with Terraform or CDK also valued.
• Run containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS), including networking, DNS, load balancing and perimeter security.
• Keep AI services scalable, reliable and highly available in production.
• Monitor system performance, debug issues and lead root-cause analysis and incident resolution, including taking part in a light on-call rotation.
• Work with data engineering and ML teams to put AI solutions into production and connect them to business-critical systems.
• Uphold security, compliance and governance standards across the AI technology stack.
• Promote automation and engineering excellence within the AI Tech team.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering roles.
• Solid hands-on experience running AWS services in production with high availability expectations, including cost optimization and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and orchestrating microservices.
• Solid experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash or Go, or similar.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, Terraform or CDK.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack or Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of security and compliance in cloud-based systems.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Spanish proficiency.
• High level of English.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a deep sense of ownership and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience designing infrastructure architecture, not only deploying it.
• Preferred: experience with GCP.
• Preferred: experience supporting GenAI or ML workloads, or familiarity with Amazon Bedrock or SageMaker.
• Preferred: an MSc or postgraduate degree in a technical field.
• Preferred: relevant certifications in cloud platforms, Kubernetes or DevOps practices, such as AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, CKAD or CKS.
