Development Team Lead (VPC System Operations) – Java Developer - Bilingual in Korean

Description

The team works on the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) in Savannah, GA, supporting its operations with application development and system operations.

You will be the first-line manager for a team of about five IT professionals, leading both technical work and people management.

The role keeps vehicle processing systems stable and improves them over time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the VPC application development and system operations team, giving technical direction and handling daily team management.
• Run the vehicle tracking and inventory systems so vehicle status and location stay accurate through the whole processing lifecycle.
• Keep data flowing between manufacturing plants, logistics providers, dealerships and related enterprise systems.
• Build and upkeep workflow automation for vehicle inspection, customization, quality control and operations.
• Handle system maintenance, software upgrades, troubleshooting and performance tuning to keep operations stable.
• Give end users technical support, resolve their issues and train them.
• Build and maintain operational reports and dashboards that inform business analysis and decisions.
• Work with other teams to improve system features and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience developing software and supporting applications.
• Prior experience as a Development Lead, Technical Lead or Team Lead with people management duties.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
• Experience with iBATIS/MyBatis.
• Experience building and supporting Oracle Database applications.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and leadership skills.
• Bilingual in Korean and English is required.
• Preferred qualifications: experience supporting logistics, manufacturing, automotive or warehouse management systems.
• Preferred qualifications: experience with enterprise applications linked to ERP, MES or logistics platforms.
• Preferred qualifications: familiarity with vehicle processing, inventory management or supply chain operations.
• Preferred qualifications: experience building operational reports and data analysis tools.
