The company is a technology firm headquartered in Cluj-Napoca with an office in Oradea. It has 20 years in business, more than 1,200 IT staff, and works with clients in retail, manufacturing, finance and banking across the full digital journey, from early ideas and requirements through software development to managed services.

You will join a team building high-quality applications for a long-standing client, working alongside frontend, backend, QA, product owner and business analyst colleagues. The team collaborates closely with peers on the client side, supports ramp-ups and deliveries, and offers each member longer-term learning paths.

Your work will shape how the project and the team evolve, and you can bring your own ideas and expertise to building a strong relationship with the client.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery team, guiding and motivating its members and building accountability, ownership and a habit of continuous improvement.
• Build comprehensive project plans and put them into practice, creating a collaborative setting and a shared picture of what success looks like.
• Plan resource and workload assignments so they match delivery needs and projected financial results.
• Review plans and dependencies closely, track estimates, schedules and variances, and keep the project sound.
• Spot risks and blockers early, set mitigation plans, and push issues to resolution to keep the project on course.
• Propose strategic changes that protect delivery goals, and secure customer sign-off on every critical milestone.
• Keep communication open and professional among all stakeholders: the delivery team, the client and client partners.
• Find process improvements, cost savings and time savings that make the project more efficient.

Requirements

• 3+ years coordinating complex IT projects.
• Thorough knowledge of project management methodologies and experience applying them in practice.
• Ability to find the best solution in varied situations by weighing alternatives, likely outcomes and risks.
• Strong strategic planning and the skill to adapt methodologies, combined with managing teams to align people and reach shared goals.
• Track record of delivering projects end to end within scope, budget and timeline in changing environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, such as developers, testers, business analysts, architects and others.
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, and a record of building lasting relationships at every level of an organisation.
• Regular use of AI tools to work faster, automate or cut repetitive tasks, support decisions and raise the quality of results.
• Responsible use of AI tools: writing effective prompts, checking outputs critically, knowing their limits, and owning the final result.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German.
• Solid technical background in IT systems or software development.
• PMP certification.
