The team uses data and analytics to address national security problems. This program supports geographic and functional Combatant Commands with analysis, advice, and operational work.
The work centers on the information environment and irregular warfare, turning large volumes of data into insights for mission partners and senior decision makers.
You would work alongside intelligence, operations, research, and technology staff on changing global threats.
Openings are at the Journeyman and Senior levels.
Responsibilities
Study large, varied datasets to set baselines, spot patterns and trends, define indicators, and inform operational decisions.
Build repeatable analysis workflows and automation in Python, R, and similar tools to speed up finding, processing, and studying data.
Use statistical and quantitative methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, sampling, longitudinal and network analysis, modeling, and reliability and validity checks.
Build prototypes, scripts, and tools that improve how data is collected, processed, integrated, displayed, and summarized.
Apply AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to structured and unstructured sources such as text, survey responses, social media, and operational reports.
Run qualitative and mixed-methods work, including thematic coding, classification, sentiment analysis, and NLP-supported review.
Create dashboards, charts, and analytic products that explain findings to operational leaders and stakeholders.
Combine analytic results with intelligence and operational reporting to set baselines, measure effects, track emerging trends, and assess OIE and IW activity.
Maintain and improve analytic datasets, databases, metadata, and longitudinal data so analysis can be repeated.
Apply geospatial analysis and mapping to study information environment dynamics, geographic patterns, and audience characteristics.
Use automated collection and analytics, including AI, ML, and NLP, on social media and public data to assess reach, behavior, trends, and effects.
Help design research and assessments, including methods, collection strategies, criteria, and measures of performance and effectiveness.
Work with cross-functional teams to turn mission needs into data-driven analytic solutions.
