The company has moved from storage maker to data platform business. It closed fiscal 2026 with $3.7 billion in revenue, including its first quarter above $1 billion, and growth is speeding up into FY27.

The company's work covers hyperscalers, AI labs, the AI hardware supply chain, data platform providers, and the wider AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• You will sit on the Digital Experience Insights team as a Data Scientist and lead analytics projects that turn complex data, platform data, and time-series data into predictive models, causal findings, and product metrics.
• You will apply advanced statistical and quantitative methods to some of the company's most complicated datasets.
• Your main job is to turn analysis into decisions that leadership can act on.
• The team's priorities change often, so you need strong research rigor and the ability to apply it to whatever question comes up.
• Build machine learning models for prediction, time-series forecasting, clustering, churn reduction, anomaly detection, and recommendations.
• Use advanced computational and statistical techniques, including multilevel models and Statsmodels, on very large datasets.
• Build executive-level visual analytics that make complicated results clear to senior stakeholders.
• Work directly with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to turn analytical results into strategy.

Requirements

• A master's degree (MS) or a Ph.D. in computational methods, a physical science, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, or a closely related quantitative field.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience applying machine learning, statistical modeling, and quantitative research.
• A proven record in quantitative research and experimental design, shown through publications, presentations of scientific or computational work, or patents.
• Advanced skills in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on use of ML and statistics libraries such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, Pandas, and Statsmodels.

Conditions

The role is primarily in the Santa Clara office, following company policy. Time on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave does not count against this.

The annual base salary range is $217,000 - $326,000 USD. The range depends on role, level, and location, and for roles open in several locations it reflects the labor market across them.

The role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
