Data product manager

Description

The company is a gaming business with a strong record of new approaches in the industry. The iLottery division works in regulated online gaming, and this role helps shape its data products and their quality.

You will connect business goals with what data can do, and turn that into solutions that work well for customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with lottery customers and internal colleagues to understand their goals, processes, decisions and pain points.
• Turn business needs into data solutions that can scale, can be trusted and lead to action, after reviewing sources, definitions, quality, limits and platform features.
• Take ownership of initiatives from early assessment through build, delivery, launch, adoption, measurement and ongoing improvement.
• Define reusable data products such as governed datasets, semantic models, dashboards, APIs, data feeds, monitoring and alerts, and self-service tools.
• Work with engineering and governance teams on data contracts, quality rules, lineage, metadata, ownership, access control, retention and monitoring.
• Keep the backlog current and set priorities based on customer value, business impact, risk, dependencies, effort and available capacity.
• Coordinate delivery across Data Engineering, BI, QA, Architecture and platform teams, keeping scope, decisions, risks and timelines clear to everyone.
• Act as the main product contact for data and reporting needs, and keep customers, colleagues and delivery teams aligned.
• With support and engineering, define observability, incident priorities, root-cause follow-up and preventive fixes for live data products.

Requirements

• You have more than 2 years of experience as a product manager or product owner for a data product, covering data and analytics solutions such as data lakes, data warehouses or cloud services.
• Experience in iGaming or iLottery is a strong plus.
• You are skilled in data modelling, infrastructure and analytics.
• You have worked with data pipelines, ELT workflows and modern cloud data architectures.
• You have used current cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, dbt, Airflow or similar tools.
• You can read and write SQL queries and work with data models.
• You understand data governance, privacy, security, regulatory reporting and responsible use of data.
• You communicate well and solve problems effectively.
• You can juggle several tasks and hit deadlines in a quick-moving setting.
• You have worked on BI reporting and analytics with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik or similar.
• You have practical Agile product management experience, including features, user stories, acceptance criteria and agile delivery.
• You are comfortable with product management tools such as Jira, Trello, TFS/Azure DevOps Server or Monday.com.
• You hold a BA or B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering, Information Technology, or another quantitative field.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, data products or machine learning concepts is an advantage.
