The Intel and Homeland Security Chief Technology Office handles technical solutioning for the division. This senior principal role is a hands-on cyber engineering position focused on building, prototyping and delivering advanced cyber capabilities, and on giving technical direction that moves mission outcomes forward.
You report directly to the CTO leadership and act as a main technical driver on high-impact cyber initiatives.
Responsibilities
Design, build and assess complex cyber systems, with a focus on mission-driven cyber effects and engineering that accounts for risk.
Write software and carry out systems engineering, including prototyping and research, to create new or improved cyber capabilities.
Run deep technical research to find vulnerabilities, describe how systems behave, and shape offensive and defensive mission approaches.
Bring expertise across the full range of cyber functions, including OCO and DCO, to mission execution, capability development and proposal solutions.
Lead or take part in testing, validating, deploying and sustaining cyber tools, infrastructure and mission systems.
Develop and review cyber engineering artifacts such as system designs, dataflows and software components, identifying cyber concerns early.
Build automation, tooling and software that support offensive or defensive missions across varied environments and enterprises.
Act as a senior technical authority in shaping concepts, prototypes and engineering approaches for mission-aligned cyber capabilities.
Find and build new technical solutions for emerging customer needs, using strong cyber tradecraft and modern engineering practices.
Run trade studies and analyses of alternatives, and recommend technical paths that weigh mission impact, feasibility and resources.
Work with program teams to strengthen cyber operations and speed up capability deployment, and mentor engineers in advanced cyber techniques.
Review proposal and technical artifacts, including designs, prototypes and research outputs, and give constructive feedback that keeps them aligned with mission and organizational goals.
Contribute hands-on architecture, design, prototyping and delivery to internal research and development efforts.
