Description

The role is based at the Charlotte sales office and leads customer-specific marketing strategies aimed at growing user and household penetration.

You will take consumer and shopper understanding, brand-building basics and customer insight, and turn them into marketing activations that stand out, from first insight through to in-store and digital execution.

The ideal person builds brands well, leads strategically and works comfortably in a complex, matrixed setting. You will work with category teams, customer teams, agencies, content creators and other cross-functional partners to decide how to win with the retailer and execute well at every step of the path to purchase.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer and brand activations, both enterprise-wide and brand-specific, that drive incremental customer growth. Turn insights into ideas and go-to-market plans across Build, Remind and Buy, in store and online.
  • Sell in and deliver communication and content that converts, giving category partners clear Fit-to-Win guidance and agencies and content creators strong briefs.
  • Work across categories to combine brand strategy and customer opportunities into cohesive, high-impact marketing plans.
  • Define and communicate the retailer's Fit-to-Win approach across the Vectors of Superiority, giving category teams clear strategic direction.
  • Use your understanding of the retailer, shoppers, consumers and the competitive landscape to spot opportunities and strengthen the company's plans with the customer.
  • Move through a complex, matrixed organization to get stakeholders aligned and turn strategy into action.
  • Design and deliver the user growth strategy to lift household penetration (HHP) across the total business and within individual segments.
  • Turn consumer, shopper and customer insight into practical growth strategies and activation plans.
  • Lead customer team media planning and assess Retail Media Network (RMN) proposals.
  • Work with category and media teams so media investment supports brand and customer goals and delivers the overall user growth strategy.
  • Make sure plans and execution stay within all applicable stewardship guidance.
  • Keep execution disciplined while managing several priorities, partners and stakeholders at once.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong strategic leadership, especially in highly complex, matrixed organizations.
  • A track record of making progress when the path is unclear.
  • Strong brand-building experience, from insight and idea generation through to activation and execution.
  • Experience managing agencies and or external creative partners.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to get diverse stakeholders behind one strategy.
  • Ability to turn consumer, shopper, brand and customer insights into compelling marketing plans.
  • Sound business judgment and a firm commitment to disciplined stewardship.
