Description

The company is a business and technology services leader with over $30+ billion in revenue.

It serves 75% of the Fortune Global 100 and has experts in more than 70 countries.

It is one of the world's leading AI and digital infrastructure providers and, as part of its parent group, invests over $3 billion a year in R&D.

The company is hiring hands-on Cloud Migration Engineers to run enterprise workload moves, mainly to AWS, with Microsoft Azure experience counted as a plus.

The role is execution-focused, so you need real experience moving production servers or applications from on-premises or virtualized environments to public cloud.

The team is especially keen on engineers with a Windows/Linux infrastructure background who have taken part directly in migration projects.

Success looks like running assigned tasks and waves on your own, delivering server migrations with little rework, resolving replication, cutover and post-migration issues, contributing reusable procedures and automation, and supporting predictable, repeatable, high-volume delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out server and workload moves from on-premises, VMware and other clouds into AWS.
  • Set up and run AWS MGN and other migration tooling.
  • Assess source servers, install agents, configure replication and check readiness.
  • Run test migrations, check replicated workloads and fix problems that come up.
  • Help plan migration waves and prepare the technical side of cutovers.
  • Carry out production cutovers, validate systems afterwards and provide hypercare.
  • Diagnose issues across operating systems, networking, storage, DNS, Active Directory and application connectivity.
  • Help write runbooks, technical documentation and rollback steps.
  • Work with Technical Leads, Cloud Foundation Engineers and customer application owners.
  • Automate repetitive migration work to make it more efficient.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: hands-on experience moving Windows and/or Linux servers to AWS or another public cloud.
  • Mandatory: practical work with EC2, EBS, VPC, security groups and basic IAM.
  • Mandatory: experience with AWS MGN, Azure Migrate, VMware HCX, RiverMeadow or similar server migration tools.
  • Mandatory: solid Windows Server and/or Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Mandatory: knowledge of VMware vSphere or similar virtualization technology.
  • Mandatory: understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Mandatory: familiarity with replication, testing, cutover, rollback and post-migration validation.
  • Mandatory: experience troubleshooting infrastructure and operating system issues.
  • Mandatory: ability to follow migration runbooks and make production changes safely.
  • Critical: you must show direct involvement in real server or workload migrations, as general cloud operations, monitoring or infrastructure support alone does not qualify.
  • Nice-to-have: Azure VM migration experience and Azure Migrate.
  • Nice-to-have: AWS Transform, RiverMeadow, CloudHedge or other migration accelerators.
  • Nice-to-have: PowerShell, Bash, Python or other automation scripting.
  • Nice-to-have: Terraform, Ansible or basic Infrastructure as Code experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows infrastructure services.
  • Nice-to-have: SQL Server, Oracle or other database migration exposure.
  • Nice-to-have: AWS networking, VPN, Direct Connect or hybrid connectivity.
  • Nice-to-have: AWS IAM, cloud security or operational monitoring.
  • Nice-to-have: application dependency mapping and migration discovery.
  • Nice-to-have: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator or an equivalent certification.
