Cloud DevOps Engineer

The company is a technology firm within the global Accenture group that serves the US federal government. Its more than 13,000 people work for clients in defense, national security, public safety, civilian agencies, and military health.

The team is hiring a Cloud DevOps Engineer to build and run CI/CD pipelines and container deployment automation for cloud systems that support the program. You will work with development, operations, and security staff to make releases quick, dependable, and safe.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
• Automate container deployments and the way they scale.
• Set up monitoring and logging for deployed applications.
• Write infrastructure-as-code that configures pipelines and environments.
• Build security practices into the deployment pipelines.
• Diagnose problems in containerized environments and in deployments.
• Deliver pipelines that shorten deployment time and allow more frequent releases.
• Make sure containerized applications deploy reliably and are watched closely once live.
• Produce repeatable, automated processes for deployment and scaling.
• Document the pipeline architecture and the operating procedures.

Requirements

• Three years of work deploying, running, or securing cloud applications, including CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible, and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• One year working with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• DoD 8140 compliance, such as Security+, CISSP, CASP, or an equivalent credential.
• Bonus: a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in place of the degree.
• Bonus: AWS Professional or Associate certification.
• Bonus: experience across several clouds, Azure, GCP, or Oracle, alongside AWS.
• Bonus: hands-on Linux and Windows systems administration in cloud or virtualized settings.
• Bonus: experience with Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Bonus: familiarity with National Security systems and air-gapped environments.

Conditions

An active TS clearance is required; SCI is preferred.

Base pay runs from $103,200 to $196,400 USD in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia; actual pay depends on office location, role, skill set, and experience.
