Description

The company is hiring a business systems and data solutions architect to act as the link between business stakeholders and technology teams, with work spanning capital planning, facilities management, procurement, finance, and portfolio governance.

You will work with business process owners, system users, and technology teams to design, build, support, and keep improving integrated business solutions that fit the company's goals.

This is a senior individual contributor role covering solution architecture, business systems integration, analytics, reporting, and process automation. You will design and support scalable applications, enterprise reporting environments, data integrations, and automated workflows, and help keep data quality and governance strong. The job mixes hands-on delivery with planning, stakeholder work, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support business systems and technology solutions for finance, capital planning, procurement, facilities management, and portfolio management.
  • Turn business requirements into scalable solutions, including data models, applications, workflows, and reporting frameworks.
  • Build, maintain, and extend solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, enterprise applications, and cloud services.
  • Build and support enterprise reporting and analytics that give leaders insight for day-to-day and strategic decisions.
  • Design, run, and improve integrations between SAP, Microsoft platforms, and other enterprise business systems.
  • Find ways to improve business performance through automation, standardization, and process changes.
  • Lead requirements gathering, solution design workshops, and sessions that align stakeholders.
  • Set and promote governance standards, data quality practices, security controls, and development best practices.
  • Act as the main subject matter expert and trusted advisor for business systems, analytics, reporting, automation, and data.
  • Troubleshoot and improve applications, reports, dataflows, integrations, and automated processes to keep them reliable and fast.

Requirements

  • Education: a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business analytics, engineering, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree or relevant certifications in Microsoft, SAP, analytics, Power Platform, business intelligence, or a related area is preferred.
  • Eight or more years of experience working with business leaders, process owners, project teams, and end users to design and deliver business solutions.
  • A proven record of turning business needs into scalable technology that improves operations and decisions.
  • Experience supporting finance, capital planning, facilities management, procurement, portfolio management, budgeting, forecasting, or related functions.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading or supporting process improvement, organizational change, and continuous improvement work.
  • Five or more years of designing, building, deploying, and supporting business systems, analytics, reporting, automation, and data solutions.
  • Advanced skill with Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Power Apps, from design through support.
  • Strong knowledge of solution architecture, business intelligence, data modeling, systems integration, reporting platforms, and enterprise data management.
  • Experience integrating and managing data from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, Dataverse, SharePoint, databases, and cloud applications.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, troubleshooting, and governance and support of reporting, automation, and business application environments.
  • Time split: about 60% hands-on solution development, support, and continuous improvement; about 20% solution architecture and technical design; 10 to 15% stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and business partnership; 5 to 10% governance, standards, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
