The company is a technology firm within a larger global organization, and it serves the US federal government. Its 13,000+ people deliver technology for clients in defense, national security, public safety, civilian agencies, and military health.

This role sits between stakeholders and development teams. You turn client and user needs into user stories that shape the evolution of an AI solution, working in an agile setting with Product Management, federal clients, and end users. The work covers large language model deployment, AI-powered workflows, and enterprise integration.

The team is collaborative and caring, and you will be encouraged to keep growing.

  • Write clear, concise user stories with defined acceptance criteria for agile teams.
  • Take part in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily standups.
  • Confirm that stories are complete and that deliverables meet acceptance criteria and stakeholder expectations.
  • Produce functional specifications, business requirements documents, process flows, use cases, and requirements traceability matrices.
  • Bridge technical teams and non-technical stakeholders so everyone shares the same understanding of requirements and constraints.
  • Run gap analysis comparing current capabilities with the desired future state.
  • Support user acceptance testing by writing test scenarios, coordinating testing, and recording results.
  • Review business processes and workflows for chances to add AI-driven automation and improvements.
  • Work with Product Management to rank features by business value, technical feasibility, and stakeholder needs.
  • Document system functionality, user workflows, and integration requirements for development and compliance work.
  • Document features and create user-facing material for demonstrations and training.
  • Keep requirements documentation accurate, complete, and aligned with changing project scope.
  • Lead requirements reviews and validation sessions to secure stakeholder alignment and approval.
  • Track requirement changes and manage scope through change control.
  • Provide functional descriptions and requirements traceability for security authorization paperwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Solid grasp of agile development methods.
  • A track record of turning complex requirements into actionable user stories.
  • Strong communication skills to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with requirements documentation, gap analysis, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ability to analyze business processes for AI-driven solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle shifting scope and compliance documentation.
