Description

About Chai Discovery

Chai Discovery builds the computer-aided design suite for molecules. Eli Lilly , GSK , Pfizer , Bristol Myers Squibb , argenx and Novartis all use Chai to power drug discovery programs. AI is reinventing life sciences the same way it reinvented software engineering, and our team is building that future.

We train frontier models that learn the underlying foundations of biochemical structure and interaction. We pair this with a computational workspace to iterate on molecules from idea to medicine, helping scientists move faster and develop medicines beyond the reach of existing methods.

We value diverse perspectives and are ready to find greatness in unexpected places.

About the role

We are making our first marketing hire, someone to own Chai’s brand and the story we tell, with a clear thesis for what matters and how to stand out. Our audiences ranging from pharma executives and scientists to AI researchers and engineers. You’ll decide where our story shows up, online and off: which platforms, events, dinners, talks, and launches are worth doing, and which aren’t. When we show up, you make sure it’s unmistakably Chai.

This isn’t demand gen. It’s taste, judgment, and editorial instinct, applied exceptionally well. Early priorities include:

making key moments count at JPM, partner events, and the AI and science conferences where we need to stand out;

helping our founders and team turn their work into posts, talks, and essays that reach the right people;

making Chai more legible and compelling to the people we want to hire, including those with no background in biology;

putting a playbook in place so we can move faster, with rigor.

Requirements

  • You are a brand builder with taste and operational discipline. You can set a creative direction and hold an agency to it, and are also hands-on enough to rewrite a headline yourself, fix a slide, chase an event vendor, or sweat the details of a dinner. You say no more often than yes, choosing the few things worth doing exceptionally well.
  • You have been close to building at least one respected technology brand. You may have been a founding marketing team member at a high-growth startup, led brand or creative at a design-forward company, or run experiences at a firm known for them. Biotech or pharma experience isn't required; genuine curiosity and the ability to learn quickly are.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to work at the vanguard of AI research and frontier biology, with world-class people, on a mission that matters. We protect and promote a culture of high velocity and ownership. We compensate our team accordingly.
