Associate Software Engineer

Description

The company is a 30+ year provider of IT and business intelligence solutions, with about 500 staff serving 75 defense, commercial and government clients across more than 50 U.S. locations and 9 countries.

The company is part of a larger global services group. This role is an Associate Software Engineer position based in Maryland Heights, MO and/or Hazelwood, MO, developing software for F-15 Mission Planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Write, document, maintain and unit test code in development environments using C, JavaScript and SQL.
• Build and maintain code, and bring software components together into a working system.
• Choose, adapt and roll out processes and tools.
• Find and troubleshoot software defects.
• Work with colleagues to propose solutions to problems.
• Work under general supervision.
• Integrate and compile components into builds, and where needed test limited component-level software in the target environment.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent education.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methods.
• At least 1 year of Git experience.
• At least 1 year of object-oriented programming experience.
• Preferred: a Bachelor of Science from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science, plus 2+ years of related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of directly related work experience; or 10+ years of related, relevant experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years across the full software development life cycle.
• Preferred: 2+ years of Git experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years of object-oriented programming experience.
• Preferred: experience with JavaScript.

You must be a U.S. Person under 22 C.F.R. §120.62 to meet export control rules, which means a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee.

You must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, and hold an interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance after you start.

Base pay is competitive and set by your experience and qualifications, along with market and business factors. Variable compensation opportunities may also be available.
