Description

The Commercial Card products team is hiring an Associate Product Manager to help build, launch and run Commercial Card products. Reporting to senior product leaders, you will contribute to planning, client and market research, requirements, implementation, performance reporting and ongoing improvement, working with Sales, Technology, Risk, Operations, Marketing and other teams.

The role suits someone with early Commercial Card or payments experience, solid analysis and organization, and the ability to run defined workstreams with guidance. Over time, you are expected to deepen product knowledge, sharpen business judgment and take on more ownership across the portfolio.

The team sits within the company's capital markets business, which serves corporate, government and institutional clients. The company has more than 6,500 professionals across 40 cities and acquired a US equities business in 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Help carry out the Commercial Card product strategy and roadmap by managing assigned deliverables, product components or workstreams.
  • Support product work from discovery and requirements through business case, testing, launch readiness, implementation, monitoring and enhancements.
  • Research markets, competitors, clients and industry trends to spot client needs, product gaps and improvement options.
  • Gather, document and help rank business and product requirements with clients, internal teams and senior product managers.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Technology, Risk, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance and external providers to keep initiatives on schedule.
  • Join client and partner discussions, collect feedback and turn it into product or process recommendations.
  • Create and maintain product documents, sales materials, implementation resources, training content and internal communications.
  • Track card usage, transaction volume, revenue, profitability, client adoption and customer experience, then flag trends and material findings.
  • Log product risk and control issues, follow action plans and help keep the product aligned with regulatory, operational, credit and payment requirements.
  • Help improve end-to-end processes covering development, implementation, usage, reporting, feedback and governance.
  • Manage meetings, decisions, dependencies, risks and action items for assigned initiatives, and escalate blockers when needed.
  • Prepare analyses, product updates, presentations and recommendations for product leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Keep up with Commercial Card, payments, digital tools, regulation and competitor moves, and apply that knowledge to your work.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Card, payments, treasury management, banking products or closely related areas, including practical work with corporate payment solutions and product delivery.
  • Foundational understanding of Commercial Card products, payment processing, client needs, industry practice, and risk and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience supporting product projects, implementations, enhancements or operational improvements from planning through delivery.
  • Skill at gathering and documenting business requirements, organizing information, mapping dependencies and following through on actions.
  • Strong analytical skills to read product performance, customer behavior, market data and reports, and draw out trends and recommendations.
  • Clear written, verbal, presentation and client-facing communication, able to explain information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work across teams, build productive relationships and contribute in a cross-functional setting.
  • Initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail and structured problem solving, with openness to guidance and feedback.
  • Ability to juggle several priorities, meet deadlines and deliver consistent, high-quality work as conditions change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other analytical or reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently on defined assignments, knowing when to seek direction, raise risks or escalate decisions.
  • Preferred: a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in business, finance, product management, technology or a related discipline.
