Application Support Engineer

Description

The company is hiring a Support Application Analyst at L2/N2 for a team that keeps critical Front Office and Middle Office applications running.

The company is a global IT services firm with more than 28,000 employees across 19 countries.

Responsibilities

• Handle second-line incidents on business-critical applications, from triage through to resolution.
• Check and confirm details with end users to support troubleshooting.
• Recreate reported problems and write clear steps to reproduce them.
• Find root causes across the application, integration and data layers.
• Work with Development and Level 3 Support so issues are fixed on time.
• Keep business users and stakeholders informed at every stage of an incident.

Requirements

• You have proven experience in application support or production support at L2/N2.
• You troubleshoot well and manage incidents effectively.
• You write SQL on Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL to investigate and validate data.
• You have used ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy or a similar ticketing tool.
• You understand REST APIs, web services, JSON and XML.
• You analyse logs and monitoring data in Splunk, Kibana or ELK Stack.
• You understand application architectures, integrations, services and data flows.
• You know ITIL incident and problem management processes.
• You communicate clearly and manage stakeholders well.
• Fluent French is mandatory.
• Additional information:
• Experience in banking, financial services or insurance environments.
• Knowledge of middleware, batch processing and application monitoring solutions.
• Experience supporting Front Office or Middle Office applications.

Conditions

The role is hybrid, with 50% onsite and 50% remote work.
