Description

The company runs investment technology work for institutional investors and needs a product-minded business analyst to sit between business and technology teams on IDC initiatives.

The role mixes IDC product development, business analysis, automation delivery and functional support across client onboarding, Middle Office reconciliation and conversion events.

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and turn business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
  • Spot automation opportunities and convert them into ranked IDC enhancements that widen control coverage, cut manual work and make solutions reusable across clients and workflows.
  • Write up reconciliation and data validation requirements covering source mappings, matching keys, tolerances, exception rules and expected results, working with Business and Technology.
  • Analyse data across systems to find discrepancies, reconciliation breaks, dependencies and functional problems.
  • Take part in every SDLC stage: functional design, test scenarios, UAT coordination, defect triage, release readiness and post-release checks, for both normal processing and exceptions.
  • Write and keep up business requirements, functional documents, test cases, procedures and knowledge articles in Confluence, SharePoint or similar tools.
  • Help teams adopt new IDC capabilities through walkthroughs, practical guidance and handover to support groups.
  • Run functional and application support, find root causes and drive fixes across Business and Technology.
  • Support client conversions by providing IDC functional help, data validation, reconciliation analysis and issue triage, and coordinating with Conversion, Business and Technology before, during and after the event.
  • Track requirements, defects, milestones, risks, dependencies and actions in Jira or a similar tool.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on priorities, risks, issues and status, and carry assigned initiatives through to completion.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, investment operations, financial services technology, reconciliation or application support.
  • Knowledge of Middle Office, IBOR and investment operations workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliation, including matching, break analysis, exception handling and root-cause investigation.
  • Experience turning manual operational work into repeatable, rules-based workflows, data quality checks or reconciliation controls.
  • Ability to read source-to-target mappings, data relationships and transformation rules across investment systems.
  • Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile, requirements management, UAT, manual testing, implementation and production support.
  • Strong skills in documentation, analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel or comparable tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management, and the ability to juggle several priorities on your own.
  • Preferred: working proficiency in SQL and relational data analysis to check datasets, investigate discrepancies and support testing.
  • Preferred: experience with RKS or a comparable investment accounting or Middle Office platform.
  • Preferred: exposure to CRIMS, ADP, IBOR platforms, Front Office systems or similar investment management solutions.
  • Preferred: understanding of end-to-end front-to-middle-to-back-office data flows, controls and reconciliation.
  • Preferred: experience working in cross-functional Product and Technology delivery teams.
  • You should be a product-minded analyst who moves easily between requirements, investment workflows, data, documentation, testing, tracking and support, with clear ownership and hands-on problem solving.
