Description

The team is hiring an Aerospace Cyber Security System Architect (d/m/w) to support its work on aerospace systems.

The company's Cyber Division is a European specialist in cyber security for defence and aerospace assets and systems. Over 450 cyber experts across offices in France, Germany, the UK and Spain build products and solutions on trusted technologies for defence, government and institutional customers. The work covers design, development, integration and delivery, plus operational support across the full system life cycle.

The role can also be done with reduced weekly hours and a narrower scope of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects end to end on cyber security.
  • Lead the definition of security requirements and security concepts for specific projects.
  • Lead the design of secure architecture for aerospace solutions.
  • Lead security risk assessments and threat modelling.
  • Serve as Security Officer on certain aerospace projects and act as the main contact for all security topics.
  • Verify and validate the cyber security design of systems and networks.
  • Evaluate, develop and adapt baselines for secure system and network configuration and hardening that match the security requirements.
  • Support the bid team with the security part of the technical solution and with effort estimates.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and team members so the technical solution is delivered on quality, on time and on cost (oQoToC).

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, communications, computer science or a similar field, or have comparable experience.
  • Have several years of system security engineering experience, including defining security concepts and processes for complex space and aviation systems.
  • Know the main cyber security standards and frameworks well (e.g. ISO 27000 family, NIST 2, CMMC), and be well versed in security products and secure communication protocols.
  • Have strong command of secure architecture principles and concepts (e.g. Zero Trust, Defense in Depth, Least Privilege).
  • Know risk assessment frameworks (e.g. EBIOS, NIST SP800-37).
  • Have a solid grasp of how to define verification and validation procedures for secure architecture.
  • Communicate and write excellently in English. German is a plus.

Conditions

Permanent position at professional experience level in the Cyber Security job family.

Reduced weekly hours with an adapted scope are possible.

Standard working time is 35 hours per week; flexitime, mobile working, part-time, job sharing and sabbaticals are available to support family and career.

Based in Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen near Munich, or at the sites in Immenstaad/Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance or Bremen on the North Sea coast.

The Alps and Lake Starnberg are about an hour from the Munich site.

This job requires awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.

Equal opportunity applies to all applicants.

Benefits

  • Attractive salary and individual benefits, such as employer-funded pension plans, mobility offers (e.g. bike or car leasing) and employee discounts at partner companies, under the applicable guidelines.
  • 30 days of paid vacation under the collective agreement.
  • Upskilling opportunities and international development prospects across the group.
  • On-site medical officer for check-ups and health services, comprehensive health programmes, a canteen and cafeteria, and a kindergarten close to the site.
  • A workplace with more than 140 nationalities, where exchange and support are actively practised.
