Description

You will join the Flight Physics group in Getafe to work on aerodynamic data for the company's current and future aircraft, supporting both manufacturing and in-service operation.

Your work centres on producing and analysing aerodynamic data covering loads, handling qualities and performance, drawing on wind tunnel campaigns and flight tests within a multidisciplinary, international team.

Responsibilities

  • Process and analyse aerodynamic data to build aerodynamic models and datasets on performance, handling qualities and loads, in both steady and unsteady conditions.
  • Define wind tunnel tests, take part in them and analyse their results.
  • Prepare flight tests, monitor them from the telemetry room and analyse the data they produce.
  • Deliver optimised aerodynamic solutions and data to customers within agreed time, cost and quality targets.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or doctorate in aerospace engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in aerodynamic characterisation within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience with numerical aerodynamic prediction tools and with building aerodynamic databases from wind tunnel, flight test and CFD data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Preferred: scripting or programming skills, such as Python or MATLAB, for process automation and data analysis.
  • Preferred: MYCYM.
  • Knowledge of Python and MATLAB is valued.

Conditions

Permanent contract, professional experience level, based in Getafe.

Flexible working arrangements are offered where possible to encourage new ideas.

You are expected to be aware of potential compliance risks and to act with integrity.

The company welcomes applications from all backgrounds and treats all candidates equally, and it will never ask for payment during recruitment.
