Responsibilities

  • Give the account team production support as an Account Coordinator, Paid Media.
  • Run and format performance reports, carry out account tasks and optimizations, build and upload campaigns, and join internal syncs, client meetings, and presentations to take notes.
  • Manage 2-3 accounts over time.
  • Learn the company's best practices for paid search engine marketing and build the foundations needed to move into more advanced roles.
  • Build a solid base in paid media analysis and technical work, including the skills below.
  • Excel and Sheets: use sorting, filters, VLOOKUP, CONCATENATE, pivot tables, text to columns, and conditional formatting, and know when each one helps (for example, using concatenation and length formulas for ad customization). Work with limited oversight and check your own output, since the team and clients rely on accurate data.
  • Paid media platforms: pull reports at campaign, keyword, audience, placement, device, and other levels with the right columns and metrics, and read the results. Make changes in the Google UI, Editor, and other channel platforms, including uploading and editing campaigns, targeting, ads, keywords, placements, negatives, and routine account work. Create and edit campaigns, ads, and audiences in Facebook.
  • Know the company's SEM methodology, how key metrics such as CPC, CTR, and CVR are calculated, and how they relate to each other. Understand the main levers for reaching targets.
  • Attend search training, run internally or by channel partners.
  • Hands-on experience with Google search, display, and/or app campaigns, including some of these types: UAC, ACi, Google app campaigns, GDN, Performance Max, and Discovery. Experience with A/B testing.
  • Over time, learn to handle higher-level work: write reports that explain performance trends and why results moved in the past week; understand smart bidding and manual bidding and the reasoning behind bid adjustments; monitor performance daily and know when to act; use Qontrol to find accounts needing attention and investigate execution problems; update, monitor, and report budget pacing, and flag any area more than 15% above or below target; suggest how to build campaigns, including theme, keywords for search, parameters, settings, and ads; create, pull, and QA pixels, tracking, remarketing, and lists; and hand production tasks to nearshore or internal teammates where suited.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel or Sheets, with the formulas and functions listed above.
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads and Facebook Ads, including reporting and campaign setup.
  • Understanding of paid media metrics and how to calculate them.
  • Ability to learn quickly and check your own work for accuracy.
